An exciting Service Advisor opportunity exists to join our customer focused team at Daimler Trucks Somerton. Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for delivering unmatched customer service and efficiency every time a truck comes in for maintenance or repair.

You will deliver an exceptional level of customer service undertaking quoting, scheduling and communicating regularly with our Heavy Commercial Transport customers to support their business priorities.

You will work closely with parts and workshop personnel to coordinate repairs or maintenance and parts availability to get our customers back on the road and provide them with an unparralled level of support and service.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • As the primary interface between our customers and the Aftersales Department, delivering exceptional customer service face to face and over the phone
  • Identifying customer requirements, scheduling repairs and maintenance, providing advice on warranty and service matters
  • Translating vehicle symptoms to repair orders that can be clearly understood and diagnosed by technical staff
  • Communicating fault rectification in a timely manner
  • Building strong rapport with existing and new customers, with the aim of increasing the Service Department revenue and customer awareness of other dealership services and products.
  • Responsible for key account management of Fleet Operators, including proactive aftersales coordination and collaboration with the Sales Team on customer management
  • Achieving CSI targets and dealership financial targets
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures & dealership pricing terms, upholding company reputation and credibility at all times through ethical practices & procedures.
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in this role you will enjoy being motivated by working towards mutual resolution with customers at all times in a competent and professional manner.

    You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You like to work in a team environment where a culture of continuous improvement exists to consistently achieve benchmark customer satisfaction.

    You will have experience in a similar role either in a passenger car or commercial vehicle environment. Premium customer service will come naturally to you, you will take ownership and have a high level of personal initiative.

    You are a lateral thinker and relish solving problems and work well under pressure. Knowledge of ERA would be advantageous but not essential.
