This role is part of Group Business Support Services (GBSS) Finance, supporting the Travel Management & Direct Expense functions.

The role is varied with an opportunity to support business decisions through clear, concise analysis. As a result of the context of the role, there is likely to be regular exposure to senior management & a wide variety in the work undertaken.

As the Financial Management function’s Finance authority, the responsibilities for the role include the management of finance related processes, and production of financial analysis, management information and reports on :

  • Controlled budget positions / invoices / settlements with key Global Travel suppliers in line with contractual terms
  • Production of business cases to support strategic commercial negotiations and projects undertaken by the Travel team
  • Production of scenarios for initiatives / cost management
  • Collation of performance management statistics for reporting
  • Support in monthly Forecasting process, annual Budgeting process and any budget transfers throughout the year
  • Production of management information reports including month end report preparation with MoM, YTD actuals vs budget, and Full Year Forecast (FYFC) vs budget variance analysis commentary
  • Support Team Lead and team members on input for project requests, automate reports and data consolidation
  • Update and maintain delegation of global authorisation database
  • Ad hoc queries / requests from GBSS and Finance management processed in a timely, efficient and professional manner in collaboration with requestor
  • Open to discussing flexible / agile working.

    You Offer

  • You should have an accounting background
  • You have a recognized qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA)
  • You have 3-5 years post-qualification business experience
  • You are excellent communicator in English, both written and oral presentation and social skills
  • You are enthusiastic and creative, with a positive and pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • You have experience in a business decision support role, bringing Finance expertise to generalist partners
  • You have a strong organizational skills, you are able to handle multiple responsibilities, maintaining high standards
  • If you have an experience in analytics for a procurement function, it would be an advantage
