We are now looking for a
Senior Data Scientist Pricing
to be based in Warsaw, Poland. You’ll be part of a global, strategic and rapidly innovating team within Schneider Electric.
We build prescriptive models to empower key decisions across the globe. Analytics driven by our team is helping Schneider Electric to optimize sales, marketing & pricing decisions.
Major duties and responsibilities :
Support global pricing tool program with analytics expertise
Design the algorithmic solutions for pricing problems (eg. Price guidance, price elasticity modelling, list price optimization, discount optimization)
Define algorithm industrialization strategy for the pricing tool
Ensure algorithm scalability through many diverse markets
Own the model development lifecycle from pricing tool (from prototyping to industrialization)
Monitor model performance in pricing tool
Design with the team of architects & data experts the data model, ETL and APIs between pricing tool and other enterprise systems (eg.
Data Lake, ERPs, CRM)
Analyze market Solutions and proposing best fit for Country requirement as a back end or local module implementation (Brennus, Predictive Layer, H20, SKP..)
Run experiments with new vendors and / or develop in-house pricing algorithms to be deployed to pricing tool
Provide Ad’Hoc Advanced Analytics support for Pricing Tool Program
Create & deliver easily-consumable presentations to large groups of stakeholders and executives that showcase actionable insights and recommendations
Required qualifications and skills :
Min. 3 years of hands on experience in using advanced analytical techniques to solve practical problems from prototyping to business impact
Domain expertise in pricing and commercial analytics
University degree with focus on quantitative methods / econometrics / statistics / mathematics or related degree programs
Strong programming skills in R or Python
Deep understanding of machine learning and statistical methods with their underlying theory and math
Experience in providing the results of analyses in clear written form and presenting the findings to the audience
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server etc.
Experience with big data platforms - Hadoop(Hive, Pig, Map Reduce, HQL) / Spark / H2O, also with AWS platform (Redshift, S3, Athena etc.) will be a plus
Experience with data visualization tools (eg. Tableau) will be an asset
