TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations.
They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

TE Connectivity's Project Engineering Manager (PEM) who will be responsible for all pre-contract and post management of all aspects of our utility scale solar projects.
The PEM works with the business management team, TE support functions, vendors, customers and field level construction managers in the execution of projects in support of the Company’s strategic plan.
The Solar PEM will also travel to meet with prospective clients to facilitate discussion on TE’s product portfolio and engineering services.
Commercial Duties and Responsibilities :
Travel to customer sites to support ongoing projects as well as new business development
Analyze EMEA solar market and provide trends in the industry
Proactively address open customer issues and coordinate with internal groups to ensure that quotations, quality complaints, VOC, technical information is provided to the customer within agreed timeframes.
Develop and implement effective lead campaign strategies outgoing calls and emails
Development of sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed to support project development efforts.
Coordination of library of projects throughout the EMEA region- make outgoing calls to qualify projects. Identify and understand current and future customer needs and opportunities to introduce and sell products, services and solutions to the customer.
Promote TE Energy technologies and product portfolio with the customer and drive projects.
Technical Duties and Responsibilities :
Ability to construct engineered project take off’s and other insight to alternate methods of layouts. Participate in proposal review and negotiation process
Provide 30 / 60 / 90% drawings set in support of EMEA service model for Solar
Provide risk management assessment along with project team to manage risks
Manage project deliverable requirements to ensure current and future metrics are exceeding customer expectations.
Ensure that engineering, procurement, construction and logistics elements of projects are executed in a manner consistent with the as-sold expectations of company customers.
Monitor performance metrics, project schedules, risk profiles, and cost performance of the project in accordance with company systems and practices
Build relationships with key stakeholders, such as EPC’s
What your background should look like :
5 years of Solar Industry experience
Working knowledge of PV Systems and / or other solar design / layout tools
Working knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices and procedures. Multi-project execution experience.
Working knowledge of project scheduling concepts, techniques, and software (AutoCad)
Working knowledge of office productivity software such as MS-Office suite, including advanced use of MS-Excel.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Able to work both independently and as a team.
