Lionbridge is seeking a Software Architect (holding the role of Principal Developer) to join our fast-growing Game Test Platforms R&D organization.
The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge and professional experience in distributed software architecture designs, oriented on micro-services model, plus on hands experience in backend development of various types of applications and services.
Proven experience in building SaaS products, using cloud based solutions is an important factor.
Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable distributed systems;
Working on architecture design, including building the API and interfaces between services, documenting the decisions around the technical aspect of the product;
Taking part in technical decisions related to new products and functionalities;
Participating in the estimation and planning of iterative agile releases;
Identifying bugs and flaws in existing implementation and taking initiative to fix them;
Performing code reviews against commits done by other team members;
Guarding of well-defined software architecture including patterns, best practices, orientation on high scalable, robust, distributed solutions with focus on cloud and on-premises deployment types- all from low level point of view;
Cooperating with Product Owner to transform business and customer needs and vision into low level language for Developers to keep solid architecture;
Synthesizing all signals from Product Owner / Developers and document them in clear form in terms of needs and solution assumptions;
Introducing high experience from previous roles in area of software architecture and active knowledge sharing to improve team members skills and experience;
Making sure the reuse of code is done effectively in the whole architectural picture of the system and working with Product Owner to relax or tune requirements to reuse as much as possible from existing code;
Being a backup for be developer as a secondary role (75% architecture-25% backend development).
