Business Manager :

Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO) is an organization of over 6’000 staff aligned to the product suite that supports Information Technology infrastructure (e.

g. mainframe, servers, connectivity, desktop, mobile, Lync, and voice). It encompasses support for all Credit Suisse IT infrastructure requirements.

Group CTO Chief Operating Officer (COO) team provides the leadership and operational processes necessary to deliver financial discipline and operating efficiency.

It ensures that CTO has the proper operational policies, controls, and governance, administrative and reporting procedures, communications strategy, and human capital programs in place to effectively grow the organization.

It accomplishes this through a process-driven approach guided by the strategic objectives of Group CTO.

The Poland offices are of central importance to Credit Suisse’s approach to demonstrating our global talent base and maximizing the efficient use of the bank’s resources.

This Business Manager role will report to Business Management Team Lead in Warsaw and further to Connectivity Services (C / S) COO based in London.

The role is key to enabling the strategic and financial targets, while efficiently leading operations of the C / S division.

You will apply subject matter expertise and process management skills to govern a cost effective controls environment, involving :

  • Communications
  • Creating presentations for the Head of C / S and C / S COO / Management Team for use in executive meetings with the CIO, CFO and Executive Board.
  • Support communications for the Head of C / S and C / S COO / Management Team to the department, this has several aspects :
  • In association with the GCTO Communications Team implement of a staff communications strategy, selecting the appropriate media, content type, frequency etc.
  • Scheduling and organization of department Town Halls / Management Committee Meetings.
  • Risk Management You will implement risk management governance on behalf of C / S.
  • Ensure a robust process is in place to control our risk exposure and promote risk awareness.
  • Ensure risks are accepted in highly controlled manner and regularly reviewed.
  • Improved risk register accuracy.
  • Create value added reporting.
  • Drive for proactive risk management.
  • Audit Control Support audit engagements on behalf of C / S.
  • Audit Book of Work Management
  • Ensure audit actions are projectised, executed with correct scope & requirements and with sufficient contingency.
  • Ensure appropriate engagement and accountability from line management on controls related topics.
  • Regularly assess the health of executing audit actions and manage issues accordingly.
  • Risk & Controls coordination - coordinate activities for department as required including Risk Action Items, MICOS and SOX controls.
  • Establish credibility as controls SME, be the authority within department for audit wording and clarifications of audit points.
  • Assist in conducting business reviews within the department :
  • Working with relevant teams to ensure reviews are of accurate metrics and reporting resource management, human capital, financial management, performance management, scorecard / metrics).
  • Reporting, Compliance & Targets Monitoring. Producing Management Information (MI) pack to monitor key departmental processes and targets from COO perspective.
  • Provide the Management Team with reasonable assurance in terms of meeting departmental strategic objectives within COO area.

    Highlight points or matters which require MCs' attention.

  • Keep track of any relevant actions as part of these reviews; and working with relevant action owners to close action item.
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to improve this service by getting feedback from management and partners.
  • Support Strategic Business Planning including workforce strategy and collaborate with financial management targets / opportunities.
  • Work closely with primary support to ensure department's workforce strategy is aligned to overall business strategy and financial plan including organizational metrics.
  • Provides active support to the operational side of business management.
  • Work closely with primary support in the transactional business management operations and service delivery (resource, financial, performance, vendor contract governance).
  • Open to discussing flexible / agile working.

  • You have deep knowledge of processes, standards, costs and operational levels.
  • You have proven ability to communicate and influence effectively with senior management and service providers.
  • You have excellent written communication skills with ability to develop and deliver presentations with IT content aimed at Executive Board level audiences.
  • You have expertise in using various communication channels, including SharePoint blogs, video presentations, webcasts, email memos and Town Halls.
  • Do you have the ability to work tight deadlines without compromising quality?
  • Are you highly organized and excellent attention to details?
  • Technical / business skills & knowledge :

    Essential :

  • MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Advanced MS Excel
  • Desirable :

  • Deep knowledge of Financial Management industry, especially back office.
  • Deep knowledge of Operations processes and functions.
  • You have broad knowledge of IT infrastructure.
