Position Description

QIAGEN has a broad portfolio of hardware from sample preparation automation to cyclers or gene-sequencers and assoc. spare parts in a regulated market, which are produced externally at contract manufactures.

Main duties on this position :

  • Support coordination and improvements of the life cycle management of QIAGEN s automation portfolio with internal and external parties throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Support new product implementations by coordinating actions of suppliers, marketing, SAP integration, QA, and purchasing.
  • Assist in driving product changes assessed with the planning teams in terms of stocking strategies, ensuring full compliance with regulatory laws, and understanding regulatory implications for software and / or consumables.
  • Support the lead in supply chain related projects, integration of new products through an acquisitions, supplier changes, and / or decisions to establish a late stage manufacturing in emerging markets, including make-vs-buy decisions or new refurbishment strategies.
  • Provide project management support for new product introductions.
  • Support Phase-Out / Lifetime buy decisions and status monitoring to secure product availability.
  • Contribute to the Continuing Improvement of projects related to instrumentation products.
  • Monitor and coordinate Regulatory status of Instruments with RA department.
  • Create and monitor trending and performance of relevant KPI’s for instrumentation.
  • Coordinate activities between different operations functions (QA, RA, SCM).
  • Position Requirements

  • At least Bachelor of Science in Economics with technical background or technical degree with economics additions.
  • Profound SAP skills.
  • Professional English skills.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Solid experience in supporting supply chain / product management projects in an global environment.
  • Experience in Medical Device Industry is a strong advantage.
  • Process Optimization (i.e. Lean / Six Sigma) experience.
  • Personal Requirements

  • Strong coordination skills.
  • Advanced Presentation skills.
  • Ability to cope with complex scenarios.
  • Very good communication skills.
