Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a Requirements Engineer with DOORS experience, for our Application Engineering Team within our Rail Control Solutions division in Katowice, Poland.

You will have a key role in the successful planning and execution of customer projects, being involved from the beginning of the projects, including the bid phase.

As Requirements Engineer, you will have to manage the real needs of the project and product stakeholders, including customers and end users with the responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify and manage the requirements.

Your responsibilities will include :

Identifying country specific Requirements, NNTRs (Notified National Technical Rule), Infrastructure Requirements, Operational Requirements (explicit and implicit).

Capture, Allocate, Import to Doors, Manage Translations, manage Import / Export, provide Link modules.

Offer support for the work of system engineers, Software developer, integrators, testers, validators (e.g. explain requirements, assess non-conformities) and homologation

Prepare relevant documentation on the specification and evidences of the Automatic Train Protection System

Support standardization and automatization efforts within the existing Requirements Database Tool Doors.

Provide training on specific requirements management topics and support knowledge transfer / exchange worldwide within the company

Support and participate in the development of the existing processes together with the relevant stakeholders

Key requirements :

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, system science or.

Proven record of requirements or system engineering experience in a similar role.

Expertise in requirements management processes within DOORS.

Analytical and very structured way of working is mandatory.

Good knowledge of basic Office Applications (MS Office)

Knowledge of functionality of railway systems, especially ERTMS / ETCS (European Train Control System / European Rail Traffic Management System), and national train protection systems is a plus.

Knowledge of how customers operate railway signalling systems and products and which operational and functional needs the systems shall satisfy is considered a plus

Knowledge and proven record of how to work with applicable standards and regulations.

Experience in requirement management tools on administrator level like DOORS and DXL scripting language

English (spoken and written) at a fluent level is mandatory for this role; Polish, German or other European language is a plus.

Very good social, communication and presentation skills.
