The Leasing Management Team Leader

Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is a newly formed function within Takeda with the objective of enabling Takeda’s business strategy, delivering simplification and cost reduction, improving service and providing a transformation engine for continuous improvement for Takeda.

The Leasing Management Team Leader will : be responsible for managing all aspects of Leasing Contracts accounting globally.

As such, the role is the subject matter expert for the Leasing Management processes spanning multiple legal entities.

Specifically, the role is responsible for ensuring :

  • Activities of the Leasing Management team (7-10 FTE’s) are overseen and employees are managed and developed to maintain high levels of morale, motivation and productivity.
  • Key performance indicators for the team are developed and monitored, with actions identified and delivered to achieve process efficiency and overall compliance.
  • Leasing transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis (in accordance with IFRS16)
  • CLM implementation and contract migrations are supported.
  • ACCOUNTABILITIES :

    Maintain the overall control and coordination of the Leasing Management accounting processes by :

  • Operating as a Subject Matter Expert for the Leasing Management Team by overseeing activities are performed and delivered at a consistently high level.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Leasing Management Team and supporting deliverance of the team’s overall objectives, goals and priorities.
  • Actively leading the Leasing Management Team team through period-end closings within company deadlines while remaining compliant to Takeda, SOX, GAAP regulations
  • Collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders including local market finance teams, GREFP, cross functional TBS internal departments, senior management and external auditors.
  • Lead the measurement and delivery of Leasing Management Team SLA & KPI targets.
  • Review and Approve month-end account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of data and adequacy of supporting documentation.
  • Initiate and drive process improvements to standardise & harmonise processes and achieve superior levels of efficiency realising reduced cost benefits to Takeda.
  • Represent the Leasing Management Team on ad-hoc projects and systems initiatives liaising closely with counterparts in USA and Japan to ensure overall consistency of process.
  • Ensure the SOX RCM is accurate and reflects all Leasing Management processes
  • Provide market guidance on issues surrounding Leasing Management policy and processes

    This role will drive the global Leasing Management function to continuously improve by re-engineering inefficient processes whilst maintaining a consistent service to all our markets across Takeda.

    DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS :

    Technical / Functional (Line) Expertise

    In depth understanding of double entry accounting

  • Ability to confidently navigate SAP and trace transactions
  • Proficient in excel to enable large volume of data manipulation
  • A good understanding of the Chart of accounts to support our customers with queries on entries affecting their results.
  • A good understanding of Takeda procurement systems, Coupa and Ariba

  • Ability to manage different priorities and deliver them to a high quality, demonstrating a hands on approach where necessary to enable the team to meet all of its objectives.

  • EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS :

    The Leasing Management Team Leader must possess a strong understanding of financial & operational systems and solid accounting experience (IFRS16).

    Required :

  • Qualified accountant with 3 years PQE
  • Competent on ERP systems
  • Excellent excel abilities
  • Supervisory experience
  • Desirable :

  • Experience of SAP and Hyperion
  • Experience of SAP Internal Orders and Project Accounting.
  • Previous knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
  • A second Western European language (in addition to fluency in English)
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

    Travel required from time to time
