On April 14, 1981, in Honolulu, Hawaii, William Bill Melton incorporated his new tech company. The original intention was to provide a recourse for retailers who’d been swindled by people handing out bad checks.
Bill's product was a kind of verification device using phone lines a verification phone.
But then a pivot. The credit card industry was relatively new at the time and processing was still being done with carbon paper.
Bill saw a way to reduce costs for companies like Visa and MasterCard, while capitalizing on this new technology. Instead of verifying checks, we would provide local businesses a means to electronically process credit card payments.
The Verifone payment device was born.

Customer Service Specialist / Order Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day support to VeriFone customers and sales organization in processing sales orders and resolving inquiries.
Providing customer service; communication with clients as well as internally, dealing with all the client s requests, solving issues, processing claims and booking orders in Oracle system
Cooperating with finance team and responsible for warehouse operations (receiving & shipping goods, material transactions
Responsibility for any stock movements - working with freight forwarders, courier services in order to have supply on time
Responsibility for meeting specified timelines and product delivery schedules and commitments
Working closely with sales and forecasts / supply teams
Working closely with warehouses - and providing internal as well as external reports
Maintains customer files with sales contract information and checks product availability and books orders
Obtaining written confirmation from customer for any data that is missing on PO Generates email acknowledgements to field sales on status of orders processed
Responsible for filing of all sales order requests / changes processed by the department
Perform daily settlements
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in order processing, data entry, sales processing
High school diploma or equivalent required
Fluency in German and English languages as a must
Knowledge or experience of Business Objects and Oracle as advantages
Very good IT skills (MS Office)
Good communication skills (oral and written)
Strong character with the ability to deal with customers confidently
