Position Description

The Material Planner will be an integral part of Regional Supply Chain Planning organization supporting one of QIAGEN’s biggest plants in Hilden, Germany in material planning and inventory management activities for its raw and semi-finished goods.

Main tasks of the position :

Daily purchase requisitions review and release for assigned group of materials MRP controllers.

Daily check of missing production components and providing a consolidated information about products to be speeded up to Material Order Management department.

Safety stock and cycle stock weekly check.

Other inventory parameters maintenance and updating improvement programs including vendor stocking programs.

Planning master data maintenance as related to material master, vendor info record etc.

Inventory optimization projects for assigned products portfolio.

Various planning analyses assigned by the management.

Monthly and quarterly supplier forecast preparation.

Cooperation with several contract manufacturers - sharing planning data, monitoring capacity and flow of goods, releasing purchase orders.

Consignment stocks monitoring.

Participation in various logistics projects aiming to a higher efficiency of the entire supply chain process in the region.

Position Requirements

University degree in technical or economics field.

At least 2-3 years of professional experience in any kind of supply chain management role (material and / or production planning would be an advantage).

Proven knowledge of SAP modules MM and PP required, BW and APO would be a plus.

Experience in working with processes in procurement area, dealing with Buyers, Vendors and purchase agreements would be an advantage.

Highly analytical and numerical skills.

Advanced English skills (German skills highly desired but not essential).

Very good skills in MS-office (Excel).
