The Supervisor Compliance Quality Assurance supervises a team of quality assurance analysts that are responsible for reviews within an assigned area.
This position produces reports and develops and recommends solutions to improve operational effectiveness, quality and timeliness.
This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operational tasks for the team ranging from establishing priorities, assigning daily workload / production targets, completing production reports and monitoring task sheets for accuracy.
Leadership activities involve daily communication of goals and expectations, one-on-one production feedback to team members, delegating effectively, addressing and resolving issues in a professional manner.
Supervise Quality Assurance Compliance Analysts who perform quality assurance reviews in accordance with AML / CFT, applicable regulatory requirements, fraud policies, and departmental procedures within established timeframes.
Performs the QA reviews independently or individual contributor basis where applicable.
Produces reports containing quality assurance results and associated metrics using established procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of regulations applicable to the business, any business changes as well as pertinent internal regulatory policy and procedural changes, while ensuring compliance and operational risk controls are in place in accordance with MoneyGram’s or regulatory standards and policies.
Provides insight, feedback, and recommendations into quality gaps discovered as part of the quality assurance process and ensure these gaps are communicated to appropriate management and business owners.
Analyzes information gathered to develop recommendations for improvement and changes in current policies and procedures for continued compliance with MoneyGram’s internal Policies and applicable regulations.
Provides training to Analysts in all concerned compliance groups to ensure processes are followed and results of research are clearly identified and documented.

BA / BS Degree or any combination of relevant education and experience.
3+ years proven and progressive audit, compliance, financial services operations experience or equivalent.
Prior AML investigations and due diligence experience a plus.
Prior management or supervisory experience, preferred.
Ability to manage staff; coaching and mentoring capabilities.
Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented contexts.
Demonstrated negotiating skills that employ tact and discretion.
Demonstrated ability to make quick, yet sound decisions, and communicate negative and adverse messages professionally, under difficult circumstances.
Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and ability to learn database applications; Access preferred.
Demonstrated professional communication skills with internal and external customers at varying levels.

Knowledge of anti-money laundering compliance requirements for money services businesses preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Anti Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism and Fraud Prevention policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Broad base of knowledge of money laundering schemes and trends.
Fluent / bilingual communication skills preferred.
