Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Flight Simulator Engineering Manager.

Our East Midlands Training facility currently operates 13 full flight and 7 fixed based flight simulators in locations across Europe.

There are plans to install additional simulators over the next 5 years. The Flight Simulator Engineering Manager (East Midlands) is required to provide oversight and ensure continued compliance with applicable regulations.

The Role

  • Deliver a high standard flight simulator training facility.
  • Build and develop excellent working relationships with ATO personnel.
  • Ensure sims are maintained & operated to IAW regulations and the EMT Compliance Manual.
  • Schedule & ensure preventative maintenance, QTGs and fly-outs are performed in time.
  • Ensure facility is maintained to a high standard (including cleanliness of facility and simulators)
  • Ensure maximum simulator availability.
  • Ensure minimum open defects on each simulator.
  • Ensure audit findings are closed comprehensively and on-time.
  • Ensure rosters are managed and agreed manning levels maintained.
  • Assist with the implementation of a paperless maintenance & compliance management IT system.
  • Ensure annual CAA evaluations are supported and performed satisfactorily with minimum impact to training.
  • Requirements

  • Experience in Flight Simulator Engineering or Aircraft Engineering
  • Experience working with national Civil Aviation Authorities and knowledge of EASA Part-ORA requirements & CS-FSTD (A) specifications for FSTD organisations.
  • Ability to effectively and credibly operate at the highest management levels in Ryanair.
