Cisco Systems, the world’s leading provider of network hardware and software, is currently seeking an experienced customs professional for the HTS Classification Analyst role within its Global Tax and Customs team.
Cisco’s customs team maintains compliance with global customs laws and regulations while driving customer satisfaction and Cisco profitability.
We insure compliance with all aspects of customs and trade requirements. Cisco’s Global Tax and Customs team also partners closely with cross-functional teams in strategic planning and implementation of all trade initiatives.
The Global Customs Classification Analyst is responsible to ensure that Cisco’s products are accurately classified with HTS codes for a number of countries that are important to Cisco’s business.
The Classification Analyst will also be expected to identify opportunities related to HTS Classification that improve compliance and / or business processes.
The successful Classification Analyst will be part of a global classification team that works closely with the global customs team, internal business partners, and external parties such as industry associations and government agencies.
The ideal candidate will be capable of evaluating opportunities and promoting them internally to obtain support.
The Classification Analyst will partner with internal teams to implement solutions related to classification. The successful candidate will be an excellent collaborator, skilled in creating strong relationships within GTC, and between GTC and cross-functional business partners.
The Analyst will work closely with other functional teams such as Country of Origin to enable free-trade and special trade program solutions.
The successful candidate will also actively participate in trade associations and similar external venues to promote Cisco’s classification agenda and for personal development.
