Your challenge

You will work in line with our Converge Values of Respect, Growth and Pride to establish Converge as the #1 independent distributor in the European and Global marketplace.

Close work with Arrow, our parent, and our various sister companies will ensure you offer a competitively unique solution to our customers.

You will be responsible for growing Advantage Team in the region through strong recruitment and for aggressively growing the performance of our existing team in through training and development.

Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent presentation skills and fluent written / verbal communication skills in local language and English are mandatory.

You will have a strong track record of exceeding growth targets and will have the ability to lead a young and growing team.

You’ll be comfortable working with KPI and commission targets and will be able to quickly use your experience to establish the Converge brand.

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES :

  • Lead the EMEA Advantage sales team
  • Hiring talented potential sales team members to work in the Advantage team based on characteristics, attitude and potential
  • Managing a multi-lingual, cross border team supporting all regions in EMEA in :
  • New account prospecting for OEM sales / Qualifying / Lead generation
  • Data mining and system updates
  • Retaining small / telephone accounts for RFQ
  • New talent for sales team (promotion prospecting)
  • Vertical and project support
  • Purchasing and vendor development support / Excess lists
  • Building and implementing strategy to achieve defined corporate objectives in terms of talent diversification and account qualification
  • Co-operation with local Regional Managers
  • Close work with and co-ordination of Arrow sales leaders to establish best practices and mutual cross-selling benefits within Small and Advantage sales teams
  • Ability to get results from a multinational team in a changing and competitive commercial environment
  • Regular meetings with stakeholders and sales team members to discuss account management strategies, reporting, forecasting, etc
  • Recruiting, training, coaching, developing and retaining new team members
  • Developing managed team to create pool of new talent for sales team
  • Managing and continuing improving team KPIs
  • Ensuring professional behavior from each group member at all times
  • Based in Gdańsk with national and international business travel when required
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS :

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

    Education / Skills :

  • Minimum 3 years direct experience in managing the team
  • Education background in Business Management, Engineering or similar, is preferred
  • Proven leadership experience of international teams
  • Proven track record in recruiting and motivating specialist sales teams
  • Ability to think strategically, and develop team plans independently
  • Top-tier networking capabilities up to and including C-Suite personnel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Ability to relate corporate goals to motivate your team
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Focused approach to service-driven relationships
  • Fluent in English is mandatory, other EMEA languages a plus
