Connectivity Services is part of the Group Chief Technology Officer organization within Credit Suisse and delivers global Telecommunication services in partnership with the firm’s strategic outsourced providers.
Primary services include Data, Voice and Security Networks including Carrier and Telecommunications infrastructure. Organizationally, Connectivity Services provides Product Management, Network Engineering standards and regional Infrastructure and Operations services across Switzerland, EMEA, APAC & AMER regions.
In the role of a Network Design Engineer you will focus on engineering tasks for the Data Network product portfolio within the Connectivity Services product set.
Product portfolio includes Cisco Routing and Switching technologies, Cisco Wireless LAN infrastructure, as well as Cisco / F5 Load Balancing products, IP Management (IP Address / DNS / DHCP) technology and network time services.
The Network Design Engineering team is responsible for life-cycle management of the Technical Solutions, Service Designs and Standards required to provide key Connectivity Services to the firm.
Key responsibilities :
You product and engineering, development, and testing including hardware and software product definition and standards.
You lead network solution architecture and solution blueprint design and definition.
You act as senior expert in the covered technology areas.
You provide support to Problem Management activities and operational support during incidents where specialist knowledge is required through escalation as level 3 support.
You ensure product and solutions are designed and aligned with architecture principles, business requirements, firm-wide compliance / audit requirements, Credit Suisse standards and regulatory requirements.
You are technology partner and advising Architecture as necessary with tasks including Requirements Management, Roadmap and Service Definition etc.
You have great interpersonal skills to provide technical leadership and support teamwork.
Open to discussing flexible / agile working.
You have at least 4 years of experience in technical Engineering in Data Network products.
You have an experience in diverse and globally dispersed team and to interact with Service Owner and Senior Management.
You possess a deep understanding of all key technologies in Data Networks including DC LAN, Client LAN, Wireless LAN, Load balancer, IP Management covering IP address management, DNS and DHCP and Network Time Service.
You have a deep knowledge of Cisco products and can demonstrate experience with Cisco’s ACI technology, F5 products and QIP platforms.
You have track record of network engineering in a cloud based network environment (internal and external cloud services).
Industry recognized qualifications, e.g. CCIE would be an asset.
You possess strong operational or consultancy experience, capable to provide third level support with very good technical skills in supported areas.
You are self-starter with strong analytical skills and result-oriented data network specialist; you have the ability to push things forward, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
You are resilient with a can do approach, who have good interactive skills to be a good team worker who show dedication to deliver the highest quality results.
You have strong communications skills to deal with and present to technical peers and Senior Management.
Knowledge of Financial Management industry, especially back office is a big asset.
Knowledge of automation and needs for implementation and IT infrastructure.
