Equities Valuation RiskControl team is a specialist team within Product Control responsible forindependent valuations, model validation, model governance and regulatoryreporting.
This is a technical role which supports the Investment Bank's globalEquity Derivatives businesses. The role will give you direct exposure to FrontOffice management and senior Product Control management.
Valuation Risk and Control(VRC) is primarily responsible for executing the independent InventoryValuation control aspects of Product Control's primary role as the financialguardians of the Bank's sales and trading activities.
You will work within theEMEA Equity Valuation Risk Control (VRC) function, which supports Equitydivisions comprising Structured Equity Derivatives, Prime Services and FundLinked Products.
Building trusted relationships with senior partners from a business and regional perspective. This role has global coverage and requires effective communication with senior partners across Trading, Market Risk, Accounting Policy, Model Validation & Quantitative Strategies.
You will manage the execution of monthly IPV process and associated analysis.
Production and oversight of global management information packs.
Providing timely and thorough analysis and commentary for price testing and performing unauthorized trading detection controls.
Validating the rationale of financial and regulatory valuation adjustments.
Conducting Fair Value Measurement analysis and advisory.
Approval of new product and new business reviews from a valuation perspective.
You will be responsible for review and approval of valuation methodologies.
You will analyse and review control gaps in existing processes to mitigate operational risk.
Process and system improvement via automation.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or quantitative-related subject (mathematics, physics, statistics).
A recognised professional or accountancy qualification is preferred.
You have 3+ years of experience in a Valuation Control, Risk or Product Control related function.
Highly numerate with excellent product, financial modelling, and risk and valuation technique knowledge.
You have deep understanding of Equity Derivatives product is a plus
You possess strong communication skills and have the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and succinctly to senior management.
You have excellent problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
You have high level of integrity and accountability with a strong sense of urgency and result-orientation.
Deep knowledge and experience of data science techniques for process automation.
