Operator will be expected to disassemble, clean and assemble large engines and their components while following proper procedures and help provide input on meeting customer requirements throughout the development of engine configurations.
Disassemble, clean and assemble engine components following proper procedures and record readings
Learn service manual & parts manuals to find specs and order parts
Inspect parts as assembling to ensure conformance to specs
Operate a variety of equipment in a safe, productive and quality manner
Accomplish goals and meet customer expectations
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Work in other areas of core, components or engine assembly as required
Install and test large engines to DDC specifications, trouble shoot as needed
Perform TOS requirements (team meeting, problem solving sheet & 7 waste)
Infrequent travel for training, etc. is possible
5S audit and daily checklist
Rotate and cross train for self-training and help train others as needed
Continuous improvement / Process Improvement (give suggestions)
Use daily discomfort log and report sickness / injury (no matter how slight)
Attend daily and weekly huddles and give input
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Attached resume required
Established satisfactory attendance record and ability to work overtime
Established satisfactory job performance
Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
Ability to work overtime as needed when production required
Heavy lifting required up to 75 lbs.
Heavy torqueing up to 400 ft. lbs. required
Effective reading and writing skills for : product quality plans, reports, letters, bill of materials, part numbers, service manuals & SOP's etc.
Must be able to read and understand gauging equipment
Established communication skills
Established organizational skills
Established mechanical aptitude and experience : minimum 1 year ASE certification or - equivalent engine build and rebuilding experience is preferred
Basic computer skills; Excel, Word required
Ability to deal with tight schedules and deadlines to meet customers’ expectations
Inventory control and maintenance experience a plus
Good team and independent worker
Willingness to cross train throughout the area
Manager / Supervisor interview required
