ABOUT PROCUREMENT

At Wella Procurement you are responsible for bringing the best ideas, operations and capability to support the company’s business needs.

You will develop and execute best practices across processes, systems and tools to deliver outstanding procurement value in terms of strategic sourcing capabilities, services, cost and cash.

We invest in our relationships : procurement teams develop and manage important external business partner relationships to enable the delivery of the company’s plans and growth objectives.

Working with your Wella colleagues you will represent our business needs toward external business partners and be an active advocate who also flows ideas from our external partners into Wella teams.

You will work to enable an agile and effective supply chain for all our goods and services, responsive to the changes in our business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procurement Excellence
  • Maintain procurement systems expertise and training program (SAP, Ariba, Sievo)
  • Drive P2P / S2C Process optimization leveraging systems and policies
  • Leads the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of procurement systems & tools to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of best practices in category management, strategic sourcing, SRM, and operational procurement processes (e.
  • g. data analytics, reporting, etc.)

  • Create and maintain Procurement policies and methodologies
  • Builds and manage enterprise-wide spend & market analytics capabilities, manage the on-going analysis & reporting of core spend data in support of procurement category teams
  • Lead the development and deployment of procurement learning & development program
  • Implement Supplier Assurance (i.e. risk assessment) program with the help of BPO provider
  • Coordinate the development of Sustainable, Ethical and Supplier Diversity procurement programs
  • Develop strategic plan for procurement technology adoptions, enhancements and / or developments (e.g. spend analytics, eProcurement, etc.)
  • Support business plan for ethical and environmental sourcing and communications
  • Shared Service Center (SSC)
  • Lead the shared service center team to ensure best use of resources to support Wella procurement globally with Sourcing support and Procurement transactions.
  • Review SSC performance with BPO provider, drive efficiencies, improve service, reduce costs and / or increase output with new services.
  • Drive compelling monthly procurement drumbeat reviews for decision making and procurement performance increase.
  • Continuously improve P2P / S2C processes through automation and smart policies, while keeping a high compliance score.
  • Manage SSC output across all services : PR check and Ariba Service desk, content management (SAP, Ariba), sourcing approvals, price mismatch resolution, market intelligence, e-sourcing support, reporting & consolidation, risk management.
  • Essential

  • Bachelor or Master in engineering / science or business management
  • 8-10 years of experience in procurement and sourcing, with exposure to procurement excellence / COE. Very familiar with procurement processes, systems, tools, technologies.
  • Work experience in an international environment and matrix organizations
  • Self-directed with an ability to network and identify strategic sourcing opportunities
  • Strong project management and operations skills
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical path projects concurrently
  • Ability to develop, implement and monitor a metrics performance package for sourcing activities
  • Proficient knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and support systems
  • Demonstrated capabilities with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP as well as Procurement systems such as Ariba, savings tools.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, BI reporting and Project management software.
  • Demonstrates flexibility adapting to external environment influences through development of new strategies and tactics
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complexity
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills required to effectively address problems and interface with other functional areas of the company while working in a matrixed global environment.

  • Background in beauty industry experience ideally or FMCG environment
