Job Description

This role sits within our Financial & Risk ( F&R ) business. On January 30, 2018, Thomson Reuters announced that it signed a definitive agreement to enter into a strategic partnership with private equity funds managed by Blackstone related to the company's F&R business.

As part of the transaction, Thomson Reuters has agreed to sell a 55% majority stake in Financial & Risk and will retain a 45% interest in the business.

Thomson Reuters will maintain full ownership of its Legal, Tax & Accounting and the Reuters News businesses. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of the year and is subject to specified regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

YOU AND YOUR TEAM :

You will join a team of 12 colleagues based out of Gdynia and Bangalore. Your major responsibility includes creation of agents which scrapes data from the web using automated tools and techniques and setting up schedulers which updates automated responses to stakeholders in a timely manner.

The candidate should also work hand In hand with the stakeholders on any issues raised and resolve them in a timely manner as this impacts the daily workflow, timeliness, accuracy and time to market.

WHY IS THIS JOB IMPORTANT?

Sparrow Automation team does central web scrapping for all the internal contents of The Content and Insight’ team. The team ensures all automation requests from the stakeholders are fulfilled in a timely manner and ensure all exceptions are cleared.

The automated alerts play a major role as the data from the alerts will be displayed on Eikon and other products of Thomson Reuters.

SOME OF DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM :

  • Creation of agents
  • Support various projects for the Sparrow automation team
  • Perform regular quality checks and database cleanse
  • Ensure quality and timeliness for the maintained data
  • Respond to client queries and work closely with other production teams
  • Fluent English
  • Practical knowledge of MS Excel
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under time pressure
