The Specialist will be responsible for leading the solution design, model, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Projects and Field Services functional process solutions to meet desired business requirements.

The role is responsible for the continued enhancement and support of Projects and Services Applications across the global enterprise and acting as a trusted advisor to the Eaton businesses through the effective application of functional thought leadership.

The Specialist will participate in implementations and third level support as required.

Additionally, the Specialist will work across Centres of Excellence at all levels of the organization, from staff to Senior Leadership Team, to track projects, enhancement requests, manage reporting, training needs, ensuring compliance with development standards, data migration, assess impact, and coordinate and conduct testing.

Ability to understand and drive regional solutions and implement controls that are fully auditable and compliant with business and control standards This position will provide proactive guidance for solution design with internal and external systems to facilitate maximum utilization of the global business applications.

Your key responsibilities :

  • Responsible for in-depth functional and business process knowledge of Oracle EBS and integrated Boundary Systems
  • Work in partnership with divisional and regional business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems.
  • Manage requirements scope and disposition through process compliance and gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology.
  • Provide knowledge and input on the system implications of business process changes.
  • Help to identify consolidated, worldwide target processes.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • Deliver functional specifications & configuration in line with the agreed and approved design.
  • Develop and implement Organizational Change Management plans.
  • Apply project methodology and governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle and regression testing.
  • Support end-to-end processes based on intermediate level understanding of system touch points.
  • Work with the Solution Design & Governance team to ensure proposed solutions are in-line with global solutions.
  • Participate in business process improvement committees as needed.
  • Interact with senior level leaders at divisional or regional level to explain complex system issues and decision points using common business language (without using IT terms and language).
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business equivalent
  • Must have solid understanding of ERP Implementations and Operations with particular expertise in Oracle Project Accounting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Field Services would be a plus.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience relevant experience with Oracle 11i, R12. Experience with Oracle Cloud would be an advantage.
  • Strong level of understanding of manufacturing business processes at Eaton or a prior Company; strong level of Oracle EBS 11i and R12 expertise gathered through numerous full-life cycle projects.
  • Experienced knowledge of applications' technical capabilities. Strong knowledge of functional and technical capability including understanding of the core programming and database.
  • Strong understanding of integration and impact points (boundary systems) of involved systems globally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of IT and business including executive and Senior Leadership Team.
