Data Governance Analyst –Product Support

This position will be responsible for data governance support for all current and future JLLT products. This role is based in AM, APAC or EMEA with the flexibility to travel up to 15%, including international travel.

This position will report to the JLLT Product Support lead in Enterprise Data Governance of the CDO’s organization in JLLT.

It is an analyst role that will support the deployment of JLLT products including data migration, operations setup and transitions, day1 / day 2 stabilization and optimization, support for BAU activities focusing on data protection and quality assurance and remediation.

This is an individual contributor role that will work with stakeholders around the world, including internal JLL peers and external clients.

The Data Governance Analyst Product Support will be responsible for providing data governance consultation and guidance for data migration and product deployment personnel, including JLLT teams that support the business communities.

She or he will work closely with the data governance leaders assigned to various regions, business lines, markets and client accounts to understand best practices, JLL data standards and policies, and the product features that will be offered to users.

Specifically, this position will

  • Be the go-to person for the supported JLLT products for users in all regions, business lines and functional groups.
  • Work closely with business owners, product owners, and related applications to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly in detailed design specifications and in the data integration implementations.
  • Responsible for oversight of data integration, data flows and downstream impact. Validate changes being made are not limiting growth or flexibility for the deployment and future expansions.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all data governance and compliance policies and procedures, including those for data policies and standards, architecture, security, disaster recovery, and service provision.
  • Document business processes and standard operations, including business rules, exception cases, workarounds and typical use cases of the deployment, including the integration with all related applications and analytical platforms.
  • Participating in product testing for any requested enhancements to ensure a quality solution.
  • Provide training / education for product users to properly govern the data for quality and protection.
  • Participate in the design and allocation of data governance and data stewardship resources after product deployment
  • Review user requests for system and process enhancements related to data quality
  • Work as the liaison to communicate user feedback and product roadmap for data quality and governance
  • Collaborate and evangelize data governance plan in support of product roadmap, feature details and technical and process dependencies
  • Keep abreast of data related industry requirements in support of products
  • Involve JLLT peers to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of data governance and stewardship that support JLLT product implementation and BAU support
  • Responsible for documentation of business processes and standard operations in support of the BAU data governance and stewardship operations for deployed products

    Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of master data management related experience in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Management, MIS, Library Science, Computer Science or related fields; advanced degree preferred
  • 3 + years related experience in commercial real estate management (preferred) or related industry
  • Hands-on experience with data profiling is preferred.
  • Software development life cycle knowledge, with particular background in agile philosophies and methodologies
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
  • Demonstrate leadership experience in a large, complex, global organization with geographically dispersed teams and complex technical environments.
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate across organizational lines.

  • Experience in dealing with internal and external customers, service providers and vendors. Must be able to manage competing priorities.
  • Needs to be resilient; resolving conflicts quickly to achieve desired business results.

  • Superior project management / consulting and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex, mission critical projects and to develop, participate in and guide multi-disciplinary work teams.
  • Manage task timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with Data Governance and project managers

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong negotiation and group facilitation skills; ability to move a process forward, while meeting the needs of a variety of internal customers
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines, ability to work in a multi-tasking production environment to make good judgments about competing priorities.
  • Experience with data management tools
  • Expert level skills in MS Visio, Word and PowerPoint required
  • Good understanding of data quality management. Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes.
  • Knowledge of data management in a global environment, including data lifecycle and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines, ability to work in a multi-tasking production environment to make good judgments about competing priorities.
  • Ability to tell a story to explain or sell a concept.
