The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises two business lines : a dynamically growing International Operations Centre (SSC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe and local custody & clearing business offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland.

For new activity within B NP Paribas Securities Services in Poland which is an exciting, dynamic and growing operation centre in Warsaw we are looking for candidates who are willing to be a vital part of the expansion in BNP Paribas’ operational scope in Poland

Team Leader of Dealing Team


Operational Management

  • Ensure that team’s results are fully green; e.g. SLA delivery, service quality, productivity, staff engagement surveys, internal / external audit results are all exemplary,
  • Ensure that duties assigned to appropriate shift are properly and timely fulfilled according to existing procedures and checklists
  • Set operational goals for the team, monitor of its realization,
  • Lead by example, inspire staff, foster cooperative and positive culture ensuring that all employees work as a single team with their peers across domains, business lines and locations.
  • Maintain a sufficient level of technical and process knowledge appropriate to maintaining effective judgment in decision making, support team members in difficult cases and take ownership when necessary,
  • Ensure that all required files and reports (e.g. KPI, KRI, BCM, BCP etc.) are updated and distributed on regular basis, department’s boards / visual management updated and service reviews meetings organized and held with business partners,
  • Manage the resources of the team effectively so that changes to number of transactions, funds, new systems, new processes, new services, volume fluctuations or any other changes are dealt without any service delivery degradation.
  • Recruit new staff with proper profiles and integrate them into the team.

  • Ensure that processes are monitored properly and reviewed on a regular basis in order to increase productivity by making processes more efficient, encourage people to search for innovations and process optimization,
  • Perform, execute and materialize controls for managed operational processes,
  • Ensure efficient time management of the team to optimize overtimes and organize proper coverage of BAU during vacation periods,
  • Cost management ensure that all costs are in line with budget, participate in budget preparation,
  • Ensure all the applications / tools set up and access management. Manage applications development (manage requirements for changes, coordinate E2E and UAT tests, escalate any system issues),
  • Proactively communicate any cases that could be subject to escalation. Ensure that escalation flow is being respected.
  • People management

  • Ensure all staff are trained, developed and coached so that there is rich, timely and professional communication and collaboration between the team’s staff and colleagues in other locations as well as business partners, external clients and other stakeholders.
  • Organize and supervise cross team training for the staff.

  • Ensure regular staff meetings, feedback sessions, twice yearly appraisals, incident review meetings, ACE and improvement brainstorming and reviews, strong industrial training induction for new staff, succession planning and career development.
  • Ensure strong staff engagement by promoting and supporting BP2S Values, can do attitude, promote social events to continuously maintain and improve team spirit.
  • Ensure support to other teams when necessary.

    Risk and Compliance

  • Communicate and support the values and principles which govern the way staff work and behave
  • Secure, formalize and evolve necessary controls and procedures so that operational risk is mitigated and ensure a constructive, supportive and learning culture is in place in relation to errors and incidents
  • Act and behave appropriately to comply with the general ethical standards expected by the Bank and relevant Regulatory Authorities.
  • Ensure staff’s strict compliance to BNP Paribas Group’s polices, Code of Conduct and BP2S standards.

  • Ensure that all office tools are properly managed in line with BP2S standards and policies.

  • Actively participate, prepare and coordinate internal or external projects and eansure that all the deadlines are achieved,
  • Maintain superior relationship with business partners and clients by constructively managing their requirements, asking for regular feedback and implementing proper actions to improve,
  • As a member of the Warsaw FDS management team contribute widely to the successful development of Warsaw BP2S and FDS service respectively.
  • Proactively support FDS Managers in any BAU topics, crisis management, meetings and projects
  • Substitute superior (n+1) when / if necessary.
  • Requirements :

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in investment fund industry
  • Excellent English
  • Experience in acting as a Deputy Team Leader / Supervisor of the process
  • Deep knowledge of securities services
  • Commitment and motivation
  • Client focused - able to build productive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High productivity and precision
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
