Global Innovation Delivery Center Poland , a large, growing delivery organization located in Warsaw and Lodz, offering high quality Applications Development and Applications Management Services to DXC Technology customers all over the world.

The Center’s portfolio covers full software lifecycle, including : Applications Development; Applications Management, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Testing, Business and Systems Analysis.

The main technology focus is on Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence, Web and mobile solutions, ERP and CRM systems.

Most of the Center's employees hold multiple certifications in Oracle, Sun, SAP, Siebel, ISEB, ISTQB, ITIL, CMMI, PMP, and Six Sigma.

We are looking for :

Senior Application Support Engineer

Job location : Warszawa or Łódź

Successful candidates will join a delivery organization providing Applications Management Services for multiple IT systems and applications.

Services will be delivered for a major DXC client. The services scope of the team located in Poland consists of :

  • 2nd & 3rd line of business application support for government customer
  • ITIL oriented support model (interaction with most of ITIL processes, main focus on INCSRM and CHGM)
  • Cooperation with tens of different teams located around EU
  • Process and technical oriented work
  • Over 100 business applications with tens of different technologies involved (tomcat, weblogic, nginx, iis, ibm cognos, documentum, kofax, sharepoint, datastage, ca7, apex, qlikview, drupal, vormetric, cyberark, aws, azure...)
  • 07 : 30-18 : 00 active support coverage, 24 / 7 stand-by delivery (for dedicated part of the team)
  • We are looking for motivated and energetic candidates, who meet requirements :

    Must :

  • English (at least communicative level)
  • ITIL (at least basiscs, will to know and use it's principles)
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Understands the difference between being proactive and reactive, and is not on the dark side
  • Ability and will to learn
  • Experience in 1st / 2nd level of application support

  • Experience with Windows Servers and UNIX systems
  • o Stopping / starting services

    o Performing health checks of the system

    o Reading and understanding log files

  • Experience with database querying
  • Nice to have :

  • Dutch language
  • Knowledge of java applications or middleware (NGINX, Apache Tomcat, Weblogic)
  • Knowledge of Cloud systems (Azure or AWS)
