About the Opportunity
Dentons is currently seeking a Legal Operation Professional with extensive prior experience in optimizing and driving efficiencies of legal function in large corporates.
Based in Warsaw, Poland this role is part of our NextLaw In-House Solutions arm and works hand in hand with the Europe Managing Director of NextLaw In-House Solutions on helping clients improve our client’s legal teams, internal processes, systems and tools.

About the role
The role will entail some of the activities at a given time :
Metrics Assist clients’ in the identification and development of metrics and design tools to monitor progress to measure success against plan on a local, regional and global basis
Process optimization - Help clients’ to assess process related to key legal operations such as without limitation matter and knowledge management, contract management, litigation / investigation management, risk management and over time implement best in class business to legal processes, technology
External cost optimization Advise clients’ on external cost optimization including vendors consolidation strategy (law firms, alternative legal service providers, legal technology providers), vendors’ selection (RFPs processes), e-billing implementation at local regional and global level, metrics development to monitor performance of third parties
I nternal cost optimizatio n - Categorize and sub categorize the activities of the legal and compliance departments and analyze optimize and / or design implement a time recording system, triaging system including the relevant technology
Benchmark / trends - Benchmark both internally (client projects) and externally (e.g. ACC report) to stay on top of current trends and best practices
Legal technology - Advise clients’ on legal technology for contract management, triaging, collaboration, IP management, legal cost management, compliance management, risk management, corporate management (subsidiary and board of management), litigation / investigation management
Strategic legal operation plan - Support clients’ in development and management of the strategic legal and compliance operating plan and department budget including partnering with finance and procurement team
At least 5 years’ experience in an In-House Counsel role with focus on legal operations
Strong expertise in legal operations and legal technology together with solid experience of discipline ideally gained within a large international business
Experience in project management / and or process improvement, operations or management consulting in a large multinational company, legal department
Experience in workflow mapping, analysis and improvement for contract management
Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues, developing solutions and to making continuous process improvements.
Strong expertise in technology, with a passion for customer service.
Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
Proactive team player with strong abilities to interact with other subject matter experts outside of the legal profession
Previous experience of budget analysis
Strong stakeholder management experience at all levels and functions, articulate, and able to negotiate
Keep abreast of newest trends in the legal sector
Keen eye to identify opportunities to make legal processes more efficient and scalable
Keen interest in new technologies changing and shaping the way legal operations within organizations
Experience of risk management system
Knowledge and experience of setting KPI metrics for legal departments
Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to crunch numbers
Display initiative, solutions focused with attention to detail
Passion for process efficiency and how this can contribute to the wider business
