Job Overview

The Detroit Connect Team as part of the larger Digital Vehicle Solutions organization delivers value to our customers through implementing connected vehicle products and services.

We are looking for the right candidate to join our product strategy and development team an energetic self-starter who can serve as a business resource for the Connectivity team to execute application strategies, business cases, and sponsor the projects that deliver them.

This role will need to have the ability to define / manage project deliverables as well as translate business requirements into functional business objectives -

working closely with Product Owner(s) to support Agile Scrum team objectives and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business resource for the Connectivity department to help define, estimate, prioritize and implement solutions for new business opportunities.
  • Sets individual project goals and priorities that are consistent with overall business / strategic objectives.
  • Works effectively with customer / project / departmental personnel or those outside the formal line of authority to accomplish project / departmental goals.
  • Manages, assembles and publish all project requirements for development efforts.
  • Presents business requirements needs to Product Owners and IT. Able to translate and documented business requirements into system requirements with the support of product owners and IT.
  • Build and maintain use cases and user stories around each product and communicate them effectively to deliver high-quality product features.
  • Create and maintain the product plan and employ lifecycle management processes for all assigned applications and content for the service platform.
  • Schedules and facilitates working sessions with appropriate business and IT representatives.
  • Support the quality assurance function in approval of validation and testing plans; ensure that all applications conform to DTNA’s service platform guidelines set forth by the development team.
  • Support the Operations team by ensuring the applications meet necessary requirements such as service uptime, data privacy, user security, reporting capabilities and others as specified.
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate competitive business intelligence about the area of responsibility. Keep pace with change and maintain a competitive advantage within the marketplace by seeking out and learning about changes in the field.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred with 1 year of related experience OR an Associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience OR 6 years of related experience required
  • Experienced in leveraging voice of customer and distilling down into product specific needs required
  • Demonstrated project management experience in design and development of B2B or B2C web and / or mobile based customer interfaces or applications preferred
  • Ability to clearly define, document and communicate project requirements and status required
  • Ability to change direction and priorities in a fast paced environment is required
  • Familiarity in a UX role that involved documentation and writing user stories to describe the ideal customer experience preferred
  • Ability to understand architectural landscapes that support all operational flows to effectively support projects preferred
  • Experience in working with agile processes, tools and teams preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment required.
  • Familiarity with reporting and data analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau preferred
