We are looking for people with a strong technical background, who have equally strong interpersonal skills, knowledge and passion for the Communications industry. Working in a distributed Consulting project team, you will need to combine a high degree of self-sufficiency with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in countries across the globe. Willingness to travel as needed.

As Project Manager, you are the key player in managing, tracking, and communicating the progress of Oracle Communications Consulting implementation projects and in ensuring high-quality delivery. The Project Manager is responsible for planning customer-specific engagements, managing the business requirements development, review, and signoff process, managing the execution of deliverables while controlling scope, executing the change management process when needed, and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and project roadblocks. The Project Manager will work with a number of resources within a matrix environment and may manage more than one project workstream concurrently.

From initiation through to completion, the Project Manager is responsible to facilitate planning sessions at various stages of the project lifecycle. Critical to the success of this role will be the setting and management of customer expectations with regard to project scope, the Oracle Communications application delivery model, stakeholder roles and responsibilities, timelines, escalation and change management processes, communication, and risk management plans.

Mandatory Skills

5+ yrs telecoms industry experience with excellent Business Support System domain knowledge, preferably working with & managing Oracle’s Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) application.

5+ yrs consulting project delivery experience across the full lifecycle, including application architecture, design, implementation, testing, migration

1+ year delivery team management experience

Possess a strong understanding of telecoms billing & charging architecture (preferably Oracle BRM, Elastic Charging), across multiple (preferably 4 or more) billing implementation projects

Technical team leadership combining onsite/remote project activities and acting as coach/mentor to more junior team members

Willingness to travel

Technical skills

Exposure to one of the configuration and release management tools like SVN, GIT, CVS, etc.

Exposure to use of activity & defect tracking tools like Jira, Redmine, etc.

Proficiency in developing functional/technical designs using Visio, UML, requirements gathering, test case development, use case documentation

Should have experience working on Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, or iterative model projects and should be flexible to work in a DevOps environment

Technical background with C, C++, Java programming skills and scripting languages like Shell, Perl, Python, etc.

Previous experience working with any RDBMS, PL/SQL

Good understanding of Rest API, SOAP, Webservice development

Understanding of Cloud Native tools, technologies, and framework

Communications Industry Application Skills

Strong customer-facing domain skills - should be able to drive billing/charging-related workshops with the customer

Strong understanding of telecoms prepaid/postpay/convergent billing & charging architecture and associated integrations (mediation, voucher management, G/L, A/R, taxation integrations)

Strong understanding of Product catalog modeling, including rate plan configuration

Experience in configuring Sy/Gy interfaces, the experience of working with Diameter protocol

Experience of industry-standard business processes, regional/local legal, regulatory & cultural best practices & constraints

Experience in participating in business development activities

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

An entry-level management position responsible for providing quality work products on customer engagements while managing a small team of consultants. Has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family.

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Ensure that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Responsible for operational metrics and overall business results for area of responsibility. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Typically manages individual contributors. Demonstrates multiple business process expertise within one product family or technology solutions architect and design expertise for one technology product and understand cross stack impacts.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience and 1 year of engagement/team leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
