About the vacancy

The client is a telemedicine company. A comprehensive digital solution developed by their technicians enables new models of patient care.

The basic principle of operation is patient-doctor communication via secure video channels. The company provides emergency teleconferencing assistance to patients in more than 40 states.

The service runs on both Web and Mobile applications.

DataArt is assembling a team for an incipient project with a modern stack and microservices architecture. The client is looking to architect and build a complex platform to support multiple telehealth solutions.

This is a unique situation when modernization is practically a green field with an opportunity to design things right.

We are going to launch a few SCRUM teams, which will consist of high-quality backend developers (Java, Node.js), frontend developers (the latest version of Angular), QA Automation engineers (Java, JavaScript), DevOps engineers (AWS), and Product owners and UX / UI designers.

Overall team expertise is 90% senior level. The plan is to build a highly professional and performing team of rock stars who can add value to the Product.

TECHNOLOGY STACK & INFRASTRUCTURE

  • AWS : VPC, EC2, ELB, EBS, Route53, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, RDS, SNS, and Lambda; Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, IaC, Terraform;
  • RDS, MS SQL, Postgres DB, Prometheus, Elasticsearch

    API testing, automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)

    Responsibilities

  • Manage resource distribution for several products and projects
  • Assign and manage designers in development squads
  • Сollaborate with Product Management to evaluate and coordinate team workloads
  • Create dashboards (for example, in JIRA) to assess new and current design work
  • Follow timelines and objectives for design work
  • Build, run, and inform senior management of crucial quantitative metrics in regards to project status and the state of the design team in an efficient manner
  • Partner with design management; prepare for and organize team meetings and activities
  • Access and support team resources like the Experience & Visual Design confluence site
  • Ensure designers are provided with the required design tools and software
  • Onboard incoming designers
  • Collaborate with the design team, Engineering and Product Management, organizing surveys to establish areas for cross functional improvement
  • Come up with practices to enhance the processes and culture of the design team
  • Must have

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with the Agile methodology
  • Ability to efficiently collaborate other teams such as Engineering, Product Management & Marketing
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familairity with Atlasssian products like JIRA, Confluence, and Asana, namely with dashboards
  • Working experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Invision, Miro, and Zeplin
  • 5 years of experience working with cross functional teams
  • Prior experience in UI or UX design (preferred)
  • A bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Good spoken English
