Responsibilities

  • Manages the design andgovernance overall for the program(s) of responsibility and provides thoughtleadership in the areas of regulatory compliance and enterprise riskmanagement.
  • Directs business processcontrol reviews, program assessment reviews, and other service offerings.
  • Works closely withmanagement to develop risk assessments, implement programs and newrequirements, and drive implementation of recommendations regarding business& process optimization, profit improvement, internal control &compliance.
  • Serve as Subject MatterExpert (SME) on core program and sub-programs.
  • Actively providesconsultative support and advice to business lines regarding compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge ofbusiness line functions, strategic goals and target markets in order to bestsupport assigned business lines.
  • Provides advice andguidance to the organization as a whole by developing policy and advocacyagenda and ensures employees are positioned to educate others effectively whenopportunities arise.
  • Promotes policies atlocal, state, and federal levels that enhance the organizations abilities toachieve its vision and mission.
  • Drafts enterprise widepolicy, policy briefs, programs, standards, and guidelines.
  • Effectively guides thevarious Risk Operations teams via policy requirements, which includesregulations and regulatory expectations.
  • Remediates AML / GovernmentSanctions / KYA issues identified through independent testing,self-identification, or other escalation processes.
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree orequivalent experience.
  • Experience

  • 7+ years’ cumulative workexperience within a Financial Institution or similar industry.
  • CAMs certification orother professional designation, preferred.
  • Essential Skills

  • Working knowledge ofAnti-Money Laundering, Fraud, Securities Rules / Law, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery,and / or other AML regulatory policies.
  • Experience developing andimplementing compliance policies, programs, and procedures, includingregulatory risk assessments.
  • Experience working withregulators or having to manage stakeholder expectations regarding complianceprograms.
  • Proficiency in learningnew computer systems.
  • Ability to collaboratewith people across the enterprise to achieve consensus on regulatory riskissues and appropriate mitigation.
  • Experience in developingand delivering compliance communications to business unit and support functionpersonnel.
