The successful candidate will :
Conduct all business transactions in accordance with BNY Mellon GSCM policies, procedures & guidelines, legal requirements, regulations and ethical standards.
Report to Senior Group Manager, Sourcing
Manage sourcing events such as RFx, eAuctions.
Prepare matrixes for offer comparison and presents the best solution to the stakeholder.
Manage key supplier relationships, prepare and establish NDA, MSA, SOW, pricelists, catalogues data, terminations and other contracts in line with strategies.
Negotiate and manage administration for a large quantity of complex contracts in multiple categories, including NDAs, complex agreements, SOWs and terminations, among others.
Independently review and analyze contract asks, effectively communicate requirements, and determine solutions and actions in response to contract asks.
Identify contracting issues and implement solutions.
Support the development of demand-side process improvements due to contract implementation.
Provides guidance to more junior staff such as :
Advise on contract negotiation improvements
Identify contracting issues and determines solutions and actions
Review findings complied for accuracy and legibility and advise on improvements
Serve as the direct point of contact for negotiations with contracting parties.
Conduct complex research to support contract negotiations and comply findings into an appropriate, intuitive format.
Assess and prioritize work requirements, develops and executes plans in a timely manner and accepts advice and / or direction well.
Contributes to the achievement of business area objectives.
Monitor, analyze and take actions on agreed KPIs for GSCM in the managed categories
Work on standardization and implement solutions.
Prepare policies, procedures and standards based on global compliance and risk management requirements.
Support the development of demand-side process improvements.
Work with data to agree on sourcing strategies, cost modelling and cost breakdowns.
Represent sourcing in stakeholder and business partner meetings focused on the assigned categories.
Build a wealth of category knowledge across multiple complex categories.
Represent the Senior Sourcing Manager in stakeholder and business partner meetings focused on these categories, as needed.
Manage interaction with various cultures.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Business, Procurement, Supply Chain degree preferred.
Advanced degree preferred.
Min. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
Understanding of procurement and sourcing processes and practices for the specific categories preferred.
Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex projects and spend categories preferred.
