You will oversee the continued effectiveness of Bank-wide processes to screen transactions for economic sanctions risk, including weekly completeness and monitoring tests and annual peer-
benchmarking reviews assessing performance against numerous peer institutions.
You will own daily process to identify publicly traded equity and debt securities impacted by economic sanctions, initiate measures to ensure proper hard-
blocking mechanisms are embedded within securities trading systems, and develop new strategic solutions to further automate and streamline related processes.
You will take care of initial assessment of economic sanctions risks related to proposed new third-party vendor relationships and, based on initial assessment, raise it to dedicated regional and divisional sanctions teams.
You will execute special project reviews and testing of various jurisdictions, policies, procedures, and activities to identify control and / or process gaps, to harmonize any regional variations, and to generate summary reports of such reviews with accompanying recommendations.
You will develop, maintain, and enhance the Bank-wide sanctions compliance program, policies, and procedures by fostering a culture and operating rhythm of achievement.
You hold a university degree, preferably in fields of accounting, business, economics, finance or law or an equivalent
You have minimum 3 years of similar experience
You possess strong written and verbal English communication skills
You have strong project management and execution skills.
You have proven ability to manage and drive process improvements.
You are able to collaborate with partners in all divisions, including skillful coordination in working across different geographic locations.
You can understand business issues and develop practical solutions that exceed regulatory requirements while minimizing impact to normal business processes.
You have track record of exercising initiative and in developing creative solutions to complex problems.
Experience working with technology and development teams preferred.
