    WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

    As a GL team member, you will primarily be responsible for analysing costs, processing required data corrections and performing period end activities in the cost area.

    In this role, you will be responsible for performing analysis and reconciliations of GL accounts to ensure period end activities are accurate and complete.

    You will also be expected to collate and compare data from various data bases to create and submit routine and ad hoc reports as required by processes and / or as requested by senior management.

    A successful candidate will need to have adequate knowledge, attention to detail and ability to provide accurate information in a timely fashion as well as provide professional and technical assistance and / or advice to other teams (i.e. AP, reporting).

    HERE’S YOUR ROLE BROKEN DOWN (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)

  • Tracking and analysing cost categories and respective balance sheet positions (accruals and prepayments)
  • Performing period end activities in the cost area (posting GL transactions, preparing reconciliations of GL accounts)

  • Analysing cost-related data and processing any required data corrections
  • Collecting data from various data systems to create and submit routine and ad hoc reports as required by processes and / or senior management
  • Liaising with the analyst team in the UK to ensure accurate posting and reporting in the cost area
  • Providing professional and technical assistance and / or advice to other teams
  • Responding to other ad hoc tasks from GL area
  • DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

  • University degree in accounting or finance
  • Accurate with strong numerical skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills deadline focused with ability to prioritise tasks
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (knowledge of English a must have)
  • IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD THESE DESIRABLES TOO

  • Knowledge of Oracle finance system (or equivalent)
  • Searching and goal-oriented attitude
