This position exists to provide professional service and support to Timken customers from initial inquiry to prouct delivery, as well as problem solving related.

Detailed responsibilities include :

  • Record and process orders and inquiries received from customer by e-mail, phone, fax, etc.
  • Investigate and provide reliable and on-time information about product availability, schedule and pricing information to customers
  • Release delivery notes to warehouse in timely manner and follow up delivery until within Timken responibility (according to Incoterms)
  • Serve as communication facilitator between customer and sales personnel to assure maximum responnsiveness
  • Track orders and forecasts and alert appropriate parties of any potential delivery problems, order book changes, expedite the delivery of selected orders
  • Ensure stock levels at stables are in line with customer needs (when applicable)
  • Ensure specific customers requirements concerning service or orders are analyzes and fulfilled
  • Participate in occasional on-site customer visits or meetings, teleconferences etc.
  • Ensure customer service duties are executed in line with standards, instructions, quality requirements, SOX etc.
  • Provide back-up to other team members in their absence
  • Ideal candidate will have :

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Economics, Trade, Logistics, Philology etc.
  • Previous customer service, freight forwarding experience of min. 2 years
  • Fluent knowledge of German / Spanish / Italian / French
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of other EU or other language will be an asset
  • Good knowlege of MS Office (Outlook, Excel)
  • ERP system knowledge (SAP or other) will be an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good logical thinking and numeric skills
