The IT Asset Team Lead is chartered with enabling the organization to manage the IT Asset Portfolio with respect to risk, cost, compliance and business performance.
The ITAM Manager is responsible to define, manage, govern and improve corporate ITAM Programs, Plans and Strategy while implementing ITAM best practices in governance, process and communications and drives integration across the organization.
Provide thought leadership and strategic vision for ABB ITAM team
Determine, in collaboration with Supply Chain Management, Vendor Management, Finance, Compliance, Security, Infra and Enterprise Architecture teams and partners appropriate frameworks, processes and standards to be applied to the acquisition and disposal of assets
Ensure compliance with sound and agreed financial, legal and commercial principles
Develop financial models, perform financial analyses and ITAM analyses
Collaborate with management to define cost savings, asset compliance and service improvements
Lead the day to day ITAM program operation and delivery, lifecycle of IT assets, continuous monitoring and reporting of the IT asset portfolio and corrective actions for internal and external IT asset audits
Work with team members to develop specific behaviors, technical / soft skills or knowledge needed to ensure sustained performance and to prepare for success in new responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in related field preferred (i.e. computer science, management information systems etc.).
Must have a minimum of 7 years across IT functions specifically in IT Governance and Compliance
Must have 5-7 years of experience in IT management, leading cross functional teams and programs related to ITAM for both Software and Hardware Asset Management
Must be at least ITIL V3 foundation and ITAM and Software Asset Management certified
Knowledge and use of ITSM tools and License Management tools recommended (i.e Service Now, BMC Remedy, Aspera, Flexera, etc.)
Proven track record in platform implementation with successful program delivery, while working with multiple service partners across the business
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
