HID Global is now hiring for the role of Solutions Architect in one of its European offices to manage the HID Global Architecture team and to serve all HID engineering and GBU's.
This is a senior technical and team leadership role with significant opportunity to contribute to and influence the technical strategy and direction of the company.
The Director of Global Architecture HID will lead the dynamic global architecture team, and will be expected to interact with a diverse cross-
section of the company and key partners, including other architects in the engineering centers, product development teams, product management teams, manufacturing, IT, and management staff.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Solutions Architect at HID will support a wide variety of product, system, and solution architecture activities and goals related to the company strategy.
This will include contribution to the technical strategy and architecture roadmap, creation of architectural artifacts, review of and contribution to detailed designs and product and solution requirements, and general technical leadership throughout the engineering teams :
lead and further build up a team of architects to define and specify HID Global ecosystems and to link the various HID engineering centers to align on seamless systems using products from different centers of excellence
lead and further build up a team of engineers in Chennai being responsible for HID’s Secure Delivery Infrastructure which is the company’s KMS and secure objects distribution services
Contribute to the technical strategy and vision of the company. Provide technical leadership to other teams. Facilitate development and adoption of best practices.
Introduce, support and enforce security by design. This influence is needed on component or product level up to large scale systems.
Produce quality, fully justified, implementable, and consistent architecture deliverables, including architecture documents, notes, views and related artifacts, on time and according to corporate business priorities.
Provide architectural support to product development teams. Participate in architecture and design reviews and project team meetings enduring a consistent platforms evolution and integration practices.
Provide architectural support to product management teams. Analyze and critique product requirements and specifications throughout product life cycle to best exploit and further develop platform ecosystems.
Support architecture roadmap planning activities. Create and articulate systems and software architecture. Draft architecture white-
papers and presentations.
Perform technical analysis activities. Serve as technical consultant during system and platform implementation.
Periodically, contribute to the development of prototypes or products as required to meet important corporate goals.
Meet strategic customers to learn their long term strategies and needs but also to influence in alignment with the HID strategy
Continuously improve technical knowledge and represent HID on strategic conferences including publication of presentations or other documents
Education : An undergraduate degree from a recognized university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Certified in Agile Project Management, e.g. SCRUM PSD and / or PSM
Experience : A minimum of 10 years in software development with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in software architecture, developing and / or modifying technical architectures and developing strategies related to them
Understand and have experience with : Security for IoT devices (embedded firmware), mobile applications and web servicesCryptographic algorithms including PKI and cryptography toolkits (PKCS#11, JCE)Cryptographic protocols (symmetric and PKI based) for secure communicationStrong authentication protocols and technologiesSmart cards, HSMsISO / IEC 7816, Global Platformuse case analysis and translation into technical systems well adapted for scalability, security and manageability in production and in fieldObject-
