Splunk's GDI (Getting Data In) team is seeking Security or IT Administrators, Integrators, and Professionals to build Splunk Technology Add-Ons that are used for getting data from hundreds of data sources into Splunk.

Technology Add-Ons (TAs) are the bridge between IT and Security devices / systems and the analytics provided by the Splunk platform.

They are the key for enabling a wide range of use cases from malware detection to system performance.

Your work will help us achieve our core commitment to customers and it will have an immediate positive effect on thousands of them who will be utilizing the knowledge you provide to detect Security breaches and respond to IT incidents.

What you'll do

Use your domain expertise to build Splunk Technology Add-Ons to integrate IT and Security systems and devices with Splunk analytics

Create scripts leveraging APIs to import large amount of data in a reliable and efficient way into Splunk

Analyze the information provided in logs and map it to Splunk's Common Information Model (CIM)

Investigate and solve customer issues in a timely manner

Collaborate with teammates and other groups, such as Product Management, on solving common data ingestion issues

Write scripts to analyze large amounts of data and to automate repetitive tasks

Mentor junior engineers on the team

What you'll need

5+ years of experience in any of the following : IT systems, security, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, and / or analytics.

Good knowledge of python or other programming languages

Experience with Splunk or other SIEM / Log Management tools is a plus

Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills

BA / BS preferred in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or mathematics or equivalent work experience
