Your responsibilities

  • Own the vision and roadmap for building Bain’s Global People Analytics to scale engagement / pulse check surveys and strategic surveys
  • Develop the vision and roadmap, and lead delivery against this roadmap to leverage new people analytic tools to connect fragmented data sets, generate new analytical insights and management tools around highest priority strategic initiatives for the business, and drive efficiency and effectiveness as a firm including :
  • Translate business objectives into data and analytics solutions
  • Enable new features across analytic platforms to support new use cases
  • Drive survey-related prioritization and resource tradeoff decisions
  • Interface with Technology and Global People Analytic counterparts to inform data architecture decisions for People Analytic tool
  • Translate results into business insights using appropriate data engineering, analytics, visualization and dashboard capabilities
  • Develop solutions to drive standardization and scaling of survey-related data and processes
  • Create and enforce compliance of recruiting user permission framework and ruleset that ensures data accuracy and security
  • Partner with leaders across all talent populations (General Consulting, Experts, Business Functions) and survey focus areas to proactively collect input into roadmap and to advise on best practices to use resulting tools, analysis and insights to inform decisions
  • Build formal and informal relationships with individuals and functions around the Bain system who are working to understand their evolving needs;
  • identify local analyses data and scale to a global level wherever beneficial

  • Lead a team of analysts in designing future state analytics and executing and various ad hoc analytical requests; develop and grow team talent to take on increasing responsibility and recruit, onboard, and train new analysts or data scientists as needed
  • Be the go-to-expert for the organization on survey analytics topics; lead regular external benchmarking efforts to understand how best-in-class and peer companies are approaching and investing in People Analytics
  • Provide support for priority strategic analysis and people analytics processes on an ad hoc basis
  • Represent People Analytics within the Bain Data and Analytics Platform working team and the Analytics Talent Community
  • Our requirements

  • BA / BS in Business preferred; will also consider other majors with strong analytical background; high academic achievement required
  • 8-10 years in data analytics; people analytics / employee engagement experience a plus, experience of the consulting industry and team leadership all useful
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Proficiency in SQL is required and experience in relational databases / data warehouses is required
  • Experience working with HR systems and datasets preferred
  • Experience with dashboards, business intelligence tools, and visualization solutions (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Shiny, Dash) is desired
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills are important as are data visualization skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional, mature manner
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously; strong organization skills and follow through
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with limited direction
  • Ability to effectively team globally, including flexibility in adjusting priorities and work hours / availability to meet team demands
  • Strong change management and influence skills; ability to negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization

    In this role, you will lead the development of the infrastructure required to scale our People Analytics capabilities globally and to meet the fast evolving needs of the business.

    As the Global People Analytics Senior Manager, you will develop and own the vision and roadmap for how we translate the needs of our senior leaders into management tools and insights to lead their teams.

    You will bring thought leadership to strategic priorities and operational challenges. And you will lead a team that partners closely with business leaders, human capital leaders, and our technology partners (internal and external) to execute on the scaled Global People Analytics vision using an agile approach.
