Poland Loan Operations is responsible for administering the Corporate Lending portfolio for London and Western European branches for an $80B bilateral and syndicated loan facility portfolio.
The department is also responsible for Facility Agent Transaction Services providing loan administration services for the syndicated facilities portfolio of $200B.
Responsibility for leading and developing the Poland Loan Agency Team.
Support EMEA Loan Operations Head; EMEA Agency Team and Poland Loan Ops Head to coordinate activities, being an active partner in all global and regional loan initiatives and projects.
Liaising with cross regional Loan Operations management for cross sector / region initiatives.
Participate actively in global initiatives to standardize or refine the global loan process.
Contribute to implementation of global and regional Loan strategies.
Take an active role in streamlining processes and delivering change initiatives, driving forward robotics process automation and Lean initiatives
Proposing the effective process and system enhancements / business initiatives.
Lead by example and mentor junior Managers - People and Managers Development as key day-by-day activity.
Management of a robust control environment administering the structured Loans portfolio lifecycle events for syndicated loan facilities as a Facility Agent.
Adherence to a zero tolerance control failure culture for Near Miss events, Losses, policy exceptions and ensuring a no surprises escalation culture.
Seamlessly executing the local Flexcube development strategy
Interface with the finance, risk, treasury, business partners and other parties initiated by yourself or your colleagues.
Develop a team of Agency Loan product experts within the Poland site.
BSER active control and monitoring function for Agency.
Data collection and validation required by Seniors and all independent controls on a timely basis.
MCA ownership for Agency Loans.
Regular ICSAs / PLSDs and procedures updates related to Agency Loans.
Cooperation with the Head of the organizational unit in development and monitoring of implementation of corrective action plans of the unit.
Notifying the employees of the organizational unit on an on-going basis of identified issues.
Adhere to all regulatory, internal Compliance and AML policy requirements.
Minimize operational risk through appropriate quality control and procedures.
The successful candidate should have a broad knowledge and experience of financial product knowledge (preffeably loans).
Degree educated, preferably in a Finance, Business Management or Economics discipline, however exceptional candidates with other qualifications will be considered.
Industry experience (3 - 5 years) within various operational processes - e.g. Loans, Financial Markets and a varied knowledge would be preferable.
Knowledge and experience of loans operations would be an asset.
At least 2-3 years of experience in managing managers.
Fluency in spoken and written English, other languages an advantage.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines, work to tight schedules and provide a fast and efficient turnaround of tasks and problem resolutions.
Ability to build effective working relationships across hierarchal levels and functions.
Ability to cope with ambiguity & change high adaptability.
