As a Trade Analyst, your role will be to support Portugal Sales team by working with customer teams to achieve sales growth and profit objectives (Volume, Net Revenue, Profit both for PepsiCo and the Customer).
This will be achieved through building effective relationships with the customer team and maintaining promotional planning models in the sales system.
In addition, the role will be completing regular analysis of performance of both PepsiCo, customers and competitors and will have responsibility for ensuring the forecast is accurate and reflects the latest customer planning.
Execute and monitor trade spend activities including entering mechanics in system, tracking monthly performance, follow-up on invoicing of promotions
Report on promotional performance and evaluate spend vs plan
Perform forecasting analysis and develop 12-24 month projections for planning cycle
Run short-term forecasting projections
Building effective relationships with the customer team to ensure strong customer based execution of tactical programs.
Building and maintaining planning models and communicating changes to other functions to ensure alignment
Ensuring that changes are entered into all applicable systems in a timely manner
Becoming aware of business trends, economic conditions, customer developments, competitive activities, historical category learnings etc.
to make forecast recommendations and highlight potential issues within the current Customer build
Assisting in delivery of planned net revenue, trade spend and MC objectives, in a manner that is consistent with the strategic direction for the business
Having the responsibility for ensuring the forecast is accurate and reflects the latest thinking on in-market execution and underlying performance trends
Manage expectations through verbal and written interactions with customer teams
Ensure delivery of accurate and timely data in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLA)
Work across multiple functions to aid in collecting insights for action-oriented cause of change analysis
Ability to focus against speed of execution and quality of service delivery rather than achievement of SLAs
Recognize opportunities and take action to improve delivery of work
Implement continued improvements and simplifications of processes, standardization of reporting and optimal use of technology
Qualifications / Requirements
1-3 years of working experience in a similar position
Computer literacy, Excel, Power Point, Word, ERT, Business Objects & SAP / ERP, willingness and ability to learn / quickly adapt to other internal support PepsiCo software systems
Good attention to details
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Analytical mindset allowing to collect and examine a large volume of data, and identify trends.
Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions in order to find actionable, results-oriented solutions
Great organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks at fast-paced, dynamic environment
Fluency in English and Portuguese
