Currently, we are looking for a position for our office in Warsaw :

Internal Control Specialist


On this position you will be responsible for Internal Control standards application according to the Corporate IC framework in financial processes in the organization.

You will reach it via risk assessment after the testing of financial processes : Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Tax & Statutory Reporting, Financing & Treasury, Material & Stock, Intercompany, Fixed Assets and active participation in the continuous improvement of widely defined company security and its assets.

Segregation of Duties rules should be applied to monitor and limit access rights in SAP and NAV ERP systems across financial teams of Nordics, Poland, Baltics and Eastern Europe.

Standard financial processes compliance aligned with the business efficiency will be your key priority at work.

Key responsibilities :

  • Assuring consistency of rules applied by the unit with financial, accounting and corporate standards. You will achieve that through regular testing of effectiveness of control points & ongoing support
  • of the unit in areas potentially creating risks for the company.

  • Reporting of exposure to IC risks to supervisors and management.
  • Participation in statutory & internal audits as well as support in design and monitoring of Action Plans.
  • Verification of quality and execution of key financial procedures.
  • Continuous improvement of processes and procedures within your own and supported functions
  • in a form of both small improvements and large scale projects.


    You are ideal candidate if you have :

  • Over a year of practical experience in Internal Controls or other related field like audit, consulting
  • or financial controlling.

  • Practical knowledge of risks and Internal Control rules in the key financial processes like O2C, P2P, General Ledger, Financing & Treasury and you understand their impact on quality of company financial reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to easily build relationships with stakeholders / BPO'
  • s on different organizational levels.

  • A formal certificate (CIA, ACCA) or being in a process of certification would be an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP / Navision) would be an asset.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written). You are able to apply English in business meetings
  • and presentations.

  • Analytical mindset (problem solving skills).
  • Very good knowledge of MS office.
