Job Description Summary
The purpose of the job is the development and management of all engineering activities related to design of Offshore Wind Turbine Towers and manage the tool chain and methodologies used on tower structural designs.
With his structural engineering background, the SFE is capable to use GE Tower and Foundation design methods to further develop them and improve existing toolchain proposing validation plans and creating the right certification documentation, discussing with the certification body to achieve such certification.
SFE is also the interface with our external partners (like developers, customers, substructures contractors, certification body) and other internal engineering processes (like site specific load assessment, full structural integrity verification and environmental boundaries wind, sea, soil), manufacturing and installation

Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and control GE toolchain and methodologies used for Offshore tower structural designs
Elaborate tower and foundation conceptual and detail design proposals
Leading development of Tower & Foundation new components
Interface with external partners involved during all project / program phases in offshore wind farm projects : customers, certification bodies, foundations designers and subcontractors.
Internal execution of the engineering tasks required for site suitability and supporting GE proposal (load site specific assessment, site specific offshore foundation, all related to site specific data like wind, wave and meteocean)
Planning and monitoring of GE activities on the above for on time delivery of GE scope of work.
Required Qualifications
Engineering degree / university Degree : Offshore, Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering. Project Management.
Relevant experience in product development and engineering, at least 3 years.
Experience in structural design, loads, component development, test and validation, transport and installation.
Experience in project management.
Knowledge in large structures dynamics, fatigue and extreme load cases.
General knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes.
Fluent in English.
High level of team working, communication skills and project management.
