Senior AvionX Flight Control Software Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland (Jeppesen, A Boeing Company) as Senior AvionX Flight Control Software Engineer, based in Poland.

Candidates can work from our office in Gdansk or in hybrid or remote mode from home if preferred.

As an AvionX Software Engineer the job holder will join the AvionX Poland team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing AvionX .

Position Responsibilities :

Utilizing modern programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems,

Performing engineering activities including architecture design, requirements review, software development, integration and testing,

Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals,

Project estimation and planning,

Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing,

Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations,

Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation.

The ideal candidate would have prior engineering experience, preferably across multiple technologies, proactive approach, and the ability to optimize situations within the team to allow for successful technical execution.

Required Qualifications :

5 or more years of professional experience,

English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications :

Analytical thinking and willingness to learn,

Experience in software development for avionics systems,

Systems thinking and experience in solving engineering problems through exploration,

Proficiency in Python or at least one other high-level modern programming language,

Proficiency in MATLAB / Simulink,

Proficiency in source code / model debugging and root cause analysis,

Proficiency in software testing methods, test cases definition write-ups, test cases execution, test automation,

Experience in software design,

Proficiency in defining, analyzing, and decomposing software requirements,

Proficiency in Model Based Design methodology,

Proficiency in defining engineering tasks for software engineering team,

Experience in managing JIRA for software engineering team in collaborative software projects,

Experience in progress reporting to stakeholders,

Experience in project risk analysis,

Experience in software development compliant with DO178C standards,

Collaborating in international and multi-national projects.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
