We are looking for a detail oriented and inquisitive team leader to help support the rapid expansion of the Mercer Comptryx database.

As part of Global Business Solutions, you will be responsible for analyzing workforce metrics benchmarks and producing statistical reports using proprietary Mercer Comptryx tools.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is motivated to help build this expert team. As an ideal candidate, you demonstrate :

  • Superior written and oral English language skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • A deep understanding of traditional salary survey benchmarking
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions
  • Willingness to define processes based on loose requirements, and work independently to be successful
  • A keen interest in workforce metrics and analytics, as well as payroll cost management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GST and Excel.
  • Reporting to the Mercer Comptryx data operations leader in the US, you will be responsible for high quality production of workforce reviews, ongoing communication with both European clients and the Mercer Comptryx team on a range of data management and production support activities, as well as ad hoc research and information consulting support work.

    Key duties may include :

  • Initial validation of client data files for completeness and accuracy using proprietary validation tools as well as ad hoc analytics.
  • Summary of data submission issues for review with Data Operations Manager.
  • Preparation of detailed metrics and analytics including comprehensive client workforce reviews.
  • Client communication of issues with data submission clearly and effectively.
  • Collaboration with development and implementation teams to drive continuous improvement and scalability across all Mercer Comptryx processes.
  • Development and deployment of regular reporting as required.
  • Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with compensation data or in a corporate rewards function using a mix of developed tools including GST, excel and macros
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field such as math, economics, commerce, business operations or IT.
  • Other Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience building on / off-shore partnerships and developing new teams
  • Statistical training / expertise with software such as SAS, R, SPSS,
  • Some programming / scripting ability with such tools as SQL, VB macros and / or MS Access is a significant asset
  • Work experience in a compensation department
