What you will be doing
Conduct all warehouse activities related to shipment processing
Responsible for stock levels of packing materials and auxiliaries
Organization and maintenance of the warehouse
Support of OPS / CS personnel
Supervision and support of driver activities where applicable, including training together with Training Specialists
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Considered and fulfilledthe the needs and expectations of the customer or World Courier offices
Uses and operates all relevant IT-Tools (e.g. TMS, OptiView, SharePoint)
Supervision of loading and unloading of vehicles utilising the appropriate equipment
Performing a stock check of packaging materials and order supplies if necessary
Obtaining accurate shipment weight and dimensions and recording this information in the TMS and all other supporting documents e.g. HWB.
Preconditioning and pre-placement of packaging-materials and cooling-media
Execute daily driver dispatch processes, route scheduling and optimization
Assures vehicles are equipped as necessary
Maintains records of vehicle service
Keep log of working hours
Support of Self Inspection Reports (SIR) - e.g. vehicle cleaning
Internal communications with other departments
Ensures at all times that the warehouse remains clean and tidy in- and exterior
Replenishes dry ice and ensures that clients / other WC offices are charged correctly
Orders dry ice if necessary
Replenishes gel packs correctly using the relevant instructions and packaging diagrams
Reports any shipments that arrive into the warehouse that may have been damaged in transit
Ensures the premises are secured as per air-cargo security requirements, by keeping entrances locked and challenging anyone without a valid World Courier-ID or visitors-ID
Keeping the fire exits clear of obstructions
Maintaining a record of all shipments on hold, ensuring they are stored within the correct temperature range
Manages the store-room(s) (packaging, supplies, cooling-media, etc.)
Orders drivers (pickup / delivery of shipments at the customer, delivery / pickup of shipments at forwarders / freight-companies)
Checks collected shipments in the office and prepares them for transport.
Works according all pertinent regulations (ADR / DGR / IATA) as well as the relevant laws and authorities
Communicates with national and international World Courier Offices / Agents Aerolink (EUL) & PH1
Cleans and refurbishes incoming multiple use boxes
Correctly completes any cleaning logs
Manages qualification / inspection dates in liaison with the Local Quality Coordinator (LQC) and organizes required checks with appropriate vendors or authorities where applicable
Defrosts and cleans fridges / freezers & CaR if applicable
Uploads im- and export documents into the TMS and relevant IT-Systems
Creates Coldstream files and upload logger results
Conducts the monthly Self Inspection Report (SIR) together with the CS / Ops- Manager or LQC.
Downloads and files monthly results from the RFCA’s and ensures that any deviations are documented according to QA requirements
Completes Im- and Export declarations for Customs if applicable
The following duties may also be included in this role when necessary :
Assisting drivers with delivery of consignments to cargo freight sheds
Transmits written communication of relevant information, weight discrepancies, concerns regarding packaging etc. to OPS / CS-Personnel
Checks the planned departure or arrival times of flights ( Post Flight Check )
Uses and maintains the available technical tools (TMS, Jetstream / Flight Monitor, OpStar, BioStar, etc.)
Training of drivers in relevant topics in cooperation with Local Training Specialists
Builds and maintains relationships to contractors / forwarders (airlines, handling agents, the Rail, customs, governmental agencies, veterinarians, suppliers, other authorities, etc).
What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Middle school diploma or 3 years of operations in a similar field of profession
Basic knowledge of IT systems
Valid driving license
Basic English knowledge (Level A2)

Operations Supervisor and Branch Manage
