Your Responsibilities :
The Global Category Manager Glass will be accountable for building and executing global category strategies for selective sub-
categories in Glass (vials, ampoules, bottles) based on his / her in-depth knowledge of the market actors, their capabilities and the aligned requirements of business users in order to leverage GSK scale and to securing a competitive advantage for GSK.
The Global Category Manager Glass will monitor adherence to the agreed sourcing strategies and drives compliance to Procurement processes by Business users, supported by easy-to-use procurement tools.
The role demands leadership to drive step change improvement in supplier quality, performance and innovation with appropriate support from the stakeholder community to enable success.
Your responsibilities :
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring key contracts in this space are robust and successfully managed, will design and implement strategies and lead projects delivering both sustainable supply and structural changes in the management of Glass items (vials, ampoules, bottles and related components). The job holder :
Is globally accountable for developing procurement world class strategies for Glass subcategory references, following GSK Integrated Sourcing Processes methodology, and for delivery of global targets
Accountable for delivery of the Procurement fundamentals across the area of responsibility e.g. contracts, risk mitigation, etc.
Drive the transformation of the Glass category towards simplification of presentation / portfolio harmonization, improved agility, reduced total cost and higher speed to market, in collaboration with Vaccines / Consumer / Pharma Supply chains
Accountable for delivery of robust market intelligence assessment and act as the expert for category within GSK
Deliver projects under responsibility of the role including value creation projects, in autonomy or in collaboration with business users or other functions (Technical, QA, QC, Supply) to achieve value creation targets set
Develop & Embed Processes & Ways of Working as the new Procurement operating model evolves, work seamlessly with the site and hub teams
Build close partnerships and alignment across sites and regions where glass materials are used
Tracking and delivery of KPIs to drive mutual collaboration with regional teams to support global strategy
Acts as a role model of ethical behavior and compliance, ensuring everything we do is in line with GSK values
Basic qualifications :
Master degree in Economics or Business Management - specialized in Procurement or MBA would be a plus
Significant experience in procurement preferably in a highly regulated industry
Experienced in the design and delivery of category sourcing strategies
Proven track record of managing international cross-functional projects
Successful implementation of transformational initiatives including people change management
Experience of design and sale’ of compelling business cases including qualitative and financial impact assessment.
Evidences of proficient communication and influence in a complex matrix international organization
Ability to nurture a complex network of internal and external stakeholders in an international environment
English proficiency (written and oral) French is a plus
