What you’ll learn & achieve :
Under minimal supervision, provides leadership for development and deployment of assigned business activities in the role of managing Quality Functions.
May also be responsible for local Quality support at one or more sites and / or take on lead roles at the division or affiliate level.
Drives operational process improvement through metrics, problem identification, root cause analysis and, developing and implementing corrective action plans.
Provides leadership and takes ownership of driving continuous improvement at a global / corporate level, ensures successful design and implementation of the metrics, quality plans, Statistical Process Controls, and / or internal audits.
Performs other duties as needed to ensure successful implementation of the Quality System.
Works with management in providing leadership for the development and deployment of assigned business functions to meet company requirements;
excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; distinctive ability to interact with all levels of leadership and accreditors / auditors.
Leads resolution of non-conformances by identifying owners, working with staff with root cause analysis and appropriate corrective actions;
demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups in order to achieve desired outcomes without damaging relationships.
Plans and conducts internal quality audits, including function, project folder and process audits.
Drives continuous improvement by developing quality metrics, analyzing data including Statistical Process Controls and leading / championing Lean Sigma projects.
Designs, implements and maintains Corporate Quality Plans and Systems for assigned functional responsibilities at the direction of Quality Assurance management.
Develops complex processes and process maps. Develops, implements and leads quality improvement teams.
Provides quality training, consulting and standards interpretations.
Leads accreditation assessments and problem investigations.
Performs other duties as directed.
What makes you a great fit :
University degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or related technical field plus 8+ years of directly related experience.
Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and plan / implement corrective action.
Ability to analyze data, to interact with all levels of the organization, and to present and facilitate discussions of the findings in support of driving continuous improvement.
Detailed knowledge of quality systems principles including quality and business excellence models (e.g., ISO 9001, 17025, 17065, Lean Sigma, Baldrige / Shingo).
Detailed knowledge of process mapping and process redesign.
Experience with leading Lean Sigma and cross-functional projects is a plus.
