Global Commodity Manager Bearings In this role, you will be responsible for exhibiting your expertise in purchasing practices in commodity management for assigned commodities supporting Eaton’s Vehicle Group Globally.
The Commodity Manager is responsible for ensuring assigned suppliers / commodities meet quality, delivery, and specification requirements at the lowest possible costs.
In this role you will also identify new suppliers, negotiate prices, develop gaps closure initiatives, analyse trends, understand cost drivers, and manage part design changes within functional area of responsibilities.
The role supports purchasing practices and commodity management team, by applying strong knowledge of purchasing to improve current processes.
You will provide support to all purchasing processes such as commodity strategy, contract management, sourcing and source selection, and cost out / negotiation.
Your key deliverables : Establish and lead supply chain teams in developing strategies to leverage Eaton’s global buy, generate cost-outcome results, right size the supply base and improve quality and service performance Manage commodities / supplier relationships and opportunities for cost out and product / supplier improvement, while ensuring production, delivery and capacity requirements for all assigned commodity groups.

Educated at bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited institution? Coming with a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in Category Management / Procurement or a minimum of 7 years' professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations?
Possessing relevant years’ professional negotiating experience in a global business environment? Having years’ professional experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities?
Knowledge of bearings industry and ability to identify technology and economic trends within the category is highly preferred.
Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM) is a plus. MBA or master’s degree in Supply Chain from an accredited institution will be a plus.
Experienced in successfully developing and deploying category strategies and driving cost-out? Able to manage cost-out projects against scope, schedule and budget?
A creative thinker, able to produce new approaches in category management and implement emerging tools? Possessing excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, necessary to converse with senior management, suppliers, operations and SCM personnel?
Able to coordinate cross-functional / global teams? Ready to influence and drive effective organizational change across impacted regions / businesses?
