Tech Data is searching for a Red Team Analyst to join our global Offensive Security Team. This role has a broad scope, ranging from attacking Tech Data’s services, infrastructure and processes, discovering weaknesses in our digital and physical systems, and working with the other security teams to continuously improve our defensive and detective capabilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform full scope Adversarial Simulation / Red Team assessments.
  • Use known tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) to emulate attack scenarios
  • Conduct penetration testing against internal infrastructure, cloud environments and applications.
  • Research emerging threats, disclosed vulnerabilities and cyber intelligence information and understand their relevance to Tech Data’s assets.
  • Perform security and compliance assessments.
  • Conduct threat modeling and code security audits.
  • Perform malware analysis.
  • Plan and manage red team and pentest engagements to be executed by external partners.
  • Closely collaborate with the Cyber Defense Team to propose practical risk-appropriate mitigations and improved detection capabilities.
  • Investigate opportunities to update security processes to sustain and enhance network and system security detection and protection capabilities.
  • Conduct technical briefings with your peers across Information Security.
  • Provide programmatic and operational briefings and recommendations to Management.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or cyber security-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Need to have Red Teaming experience, versus just penetration testing.
  • Broad knowledge of networking protocols (such as TCP, UDP, DNS, FTP, SMTP, DHCP, etc.) and experience performing network traffic analysis
  • Knowledge of Unix / Linux / Mac / Windows operating systems, including bash and PowerShell
  • Familiar with common knowledge works such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Network penetration testing and manipulation of network infrastructure
  • Mobile and / or web application assessments
  • Developing, extending, or modifying exploits, shell code or exploit tools
  • Source code review for control flow and security flaws
  • Working knowledge of tools used for security testing such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp suite, Core Impact, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, Web Inspect, and Scuba
  • Participant in CTF challenges, bug bounties or similar activities
