At Caterpillar’s Facility in Janów Lubelski we produce welded and machined components and subassemblies for wheel loaders, truck type tractors & loaders, articulated trucks, and excavators.
for European market. In this role as a Quality manager, you will lead efforts with operations and support groups to oversee and manage all quality issues.
With a focus on communication, team leadership, strategy, operational execution, you will report to the General Director.

In Your New Role You Will
Provide support for quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and materials technology.
Ensure conformity to global quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (QMS), day to day management of quality resources, and ensure resources are trained and competent.
Ensure the facility’s products meet the Caterpillar specifications. Communicate and promote the quality philosophy and provide guidance to various quality areas such as manufacturing, torque support, gage lab, heat treat and / or met lab personnel.
Maintain and publish defect reports that are recorded and reported at all levels from start online to end customer.
Be responsible for setting priorities, establishing review schedules for product and equipment quality control, and managing support and shop floor quality team members. (10-20 people)
Provide quality measurement reports and make continuous improvements to the products and processes
Act as the Quality contact for global customers.
Work with suppliers to improve the quality of products delivered to the facility.
Implement and support Supplier Certification programs both internally and externally.
Provide full support to NPI process, CPI process and manager on Corporate AQI award.
Responsible for the training, motivation, and development of employees.
Top Candidate Will Have
College or university degree related to Engineering / Manufacturing, or equivalent experience and 5+ years of the quality management or related job experience.
People management experience in a high volume / high-quality, operationally focused environment.
Solid quality engineering and manufacturing knowledge and experience preferably in heavy industry / machinery.
Excellent communication in English (both written and spoken).
Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Improvement and 6 Sigma / Lean project management principles.
Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and analytical skills with the ability to develop and manage supplier and business relationships.
The ability to develop and deploy creative / original solutions to complex problems.
Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, especially compliance initiatives.
Flexible, enthusiastic, and dynamic approach. You can manage to change priorities with ease.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. You drive for solutions while building your team and taking them on the journey.
