Position Description

The Director Digital Services will be responsible for a newly established global team of remote service and LIMS specialists for QIAGEN instruments and workflows.

The team implements and supports complex customer network / connectivity situations (incl. LIMS integration, data exchange workflows, domain integration etc.).

Furthermore the Digital Service team identifies and acts on opportunities to drive transformation of Service capabilities and adding new insights for customers and internal stakeholders, creates and owns a multiyear digital service roadmap including but not limited to Digital and XaaS products.

Specifically the team is actively engaged in projects leveraging AI and IoT elements to enable predictive analysis and downtime prevention of QIAGEN instruments.

To ensure relevance for customers and commercial success of developed solution the Director Digital Services will work closely with all internal stakeholders such as IT, Customer Care, Sales and Service Solutions teams and Product Management functions on global, regional and country levels.

The Director will ensure timely and pro-active communication to internal and external customers and measures the success of the actions by specific and quantified business results.

Primary Responsibilities include :

  • Lead the QIAGEN Digital Service team.
  • Develop multiyear roadmap of digital Services using an agile approach.
  • Drive development and implementation of further digital Service capabilities and integration into Service Solutions product portfolio.
  • Closely cooperate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure adoption of services and their commercial success.
  • Own and track team s output and the progress and the execution of assigned projects.
  • Position Requirements

  • Extensive level of relevant professional experience required.
  • Master degree or equivalent in IT-Networking / Business administration / sciences.
  • Strong level of work experience in remote / LIMS services.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT networks.
  • People Management experience, ideally with a regional or even global team.
  • Experience in medical / life Science industry preferable.
  • Very good overview of Digital Service trends in all industries.
  • Personal Requirements

  • Ability to structure tasks, design and plan problem solving strategies, successfully apply procedural thinking.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all business levels (from Sales rep to Executives).
  • Enjoys working in team settings. Experience in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  • Embraces change as opportunity.
  • Fluent Business English (oral and writing).
  • Willingness to travel ( 20%).
